Re: Championship 19/20
Marcus Browne joins Boro from West Ham on a permanent (we were linked with him last year).
Sean McLoughlin joins Hull from Cork.
Ivan Sunjic joins Birmingham from Dinamo Zagreb for £7.5mil (we reportedly offered half that).

Bartosz Bialkowski - Ipswich to Millwall - loan
Jacob Butterfield - Derby to Luton - free

Re: Championship 19/20
Probably right and just like every year it wont be enough
Definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over but hey ho.
Incidentally rumours Shacks and Forshaw have joined Ayling, Roberts and Roofe on the injury list.

Re: Championship 19/20
Not a player you rate IIRC, I think he's a good championship striker but he should struggle in the prem. Roofe is better

Re: Championship 19/20
wilder is no fool.
i believe he's buying quality championship players because when they get relegated this season they will be well prepared to bounce straight back the following season.
good player , quick and a right handful on his day.
he doesn't like us tho.
Re: Championship 19/20
Brentford losing Benrahma, Maupay and Watkins to Villa, Brighton and Palace respectively for a combined total of of 44M. I wonder how Pontus feels now.

Re: Championship 19/20
That is a massive loss
Premiership clubs realise how talented those three at little Brentford are!
The Bees have a habit of finding these players & selling them on, somehow they manage to replace them with equally good talent.
I may have to change my prediction in Cat's competition
Tbf Pontus did not want to leave Leeds, I really hope his move doesn't go pear shape for his sake as he provided us Leeds fans with plenty of good memories. His partnership with Bartley was excellent & he did have some top drawer games last season contrary to what some folk feel. One of our best players to come out of the gloom over the last fifteen years.
Re: Championship 19/20
Leeds would have got 20 mil for those 3. Brentford not challenging now unless replaced with equally as good.

Re: Championship 19/20
Matt Clarke joins Derby on loan (said we should have got Clarke)
Tom Bayliss joins Preston (good player)
Lucas Boye joins Reading on loan
Kristian Bielik joins Derby for £7m (Ridiculous that we hide behind FFP, Bielik is class).

Re: Championship 19/20
So when the continuity buzz word first appeared a couple of weeks back I wonder how many of us thought it would include the club continuing to give us all anxiety by continuing to move on our players without proper replacements li,e the Saiz fiasco last time?
Or that we would continue to face the last days of the transfer window sweating over whether there would be any more business done?
Our first team squad numbers 20 players if Roofe is sold.
From that 4 are injured or suspended.
Sorry to be so gloomy, hopefully after a decent performance on Sunday I can begin to get my head around this.

Re: Championship 19/20
Is he? Never heard of him other than on here.
Derby got around ffp by selling their ground to themselves at an inflated value. No such luck this year, and with a significantly weaker squad they're playing a dangerous game throwing money around without bringing cash in.
Who's Matt Clarke as well?
