The Peter and Gordon I remember from an album, I'm fairly sure I still own, called The Stars Sing Lennon and McCartney, released late sixties/early seventies and one of the first albums if not the first album I owned

Just found it

All original artists featuring the likes of

Billy J Kramer - Bad to Me, I'll be on my Way, I'll keep You Satisfied
Peter and Gordon - World without Love, Nobody I know, I Don't want to see you again
Cilla - Love of the Loved
Kenny Lynch (Wow forgotten about him, our Sammy Davis) Misery
Cribbins's - When I'm 64
Fourmost - When I'm in Love and Hello Little Girl
and finally an excellent version of She's Leaving home by David and Jonathon

The Peter of Peter and Gordon, of course, was Peter Asher brother of Jane who went on to do great work producing James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt..

Excellent Faaip

Loved that scene as a kid, still do.

BJK/P&G/Lynch/Cilla/Foremost were just a small part of the 60's explosion scene

P&G's follow-up 'Nobody I know' was a favourite of mine as was the Foremost 'A Little Lovin' & BJK's 'Little Children' which I seem to recall remained in the No.1 spot for one week only

I bought a Cilla compilation for under a quid a few weeks ago as I love her early stuff from the mid-sixties, much of the album is bland however she did record some crackers imo!
