Leeds Utd v Hull City

Tuesday 10th December 2019 19.45 | Elland Road

Leeds face their second Yorkshire Derby in 72 hours as Grant McCann's Hull City visit Elland Road on Tuesday evening.

Having won six games on the trot, creating an eight point gap between second and third in the process; Bielsa's men will be brimming with confidence, but Hull be certainly be no pushover. The Tigers, albeit in 12th place, are only three points away from the play off's and with Jarrod Bowen scoring his 14th and 15th goal of the season, dispatching Stoke at the weekend Leeds will have to be on top form if they are to extend their winning run to seven games.

We all know that Bielsa does not like changing a winning team, but certainly has the tools at his disposal should he wish to. Influential midfielder Kelvin Phillips will return to the starting line up following his one match ban for racking up 5 yellow cards in place of Gjanni Alioski. Ben White will switch back to central defensive duties alongside Berardi. Liam Cooper will miss out again following the calf strain he picked up in training last week. Hull City boss Grant McCann has no new injury worries following Saturday's 2-1 win against Stoke City.

Leeds are looking to avoid losing consecutive league matches against Hull for the first time since December 2012, losing 2-0 against the Tigers in their most recent encounter. Hull have never won consecutive league visits to Elland Road, winning 2-0 there in December 2018 under Nigel Adkins. Leeds are unbeaten in nine league games (W7 D2), winning the last six in a row. The Whites have conceded just three goals in those nine games, and have kept a clean sheet in the last three.

Leeds Starting XI:
Casilla, Berardi, White, Ayling, Phillips, Dallas, Klich, Hernández, Costa, Harrison, Bamford

Subs: Douglas, Alioski, Nketiah, Miazek, Struijk, Gotts, Clarke

Imagine having to deal with Joe Public nowadays.....taking abuse from ignorant, rude, impatient shoppers, then there are the smack heads, shoplifters & the nutty brigade to cope with. No thank you!
We used to have a saying in the restaurant business:

This would be a great job if it wasn't for all the damned customers.

Would that be classified as a counter counter attack?
No. Someone would have to hit you with the calculator.

Been watching the goals again today. Bamford did brilliantly for Ali's goal. Just as Ali was running in to strike, Paddy caught sight of him and leaned himself backwards to get out of the way of Ali's shot. Great quick thinking and alertness from Paddy
