After much speculation, fan designs and leaks the wait is finally over as this evening Leeds United and adidas unveiled their 2020-21 take on the famous white shirt. For their first adidas kit, Leeds will wear a crisp white shirt that shines under the Elland Road floodlights with the famous adidas stripes emblazoned across the shoulders in blue. The Leeds United crest, in gold is accompanied by a blue adidas logo on the chest whilst new SBOTOP logo features prominently in blue across the middle of the shirt and that Premier League badge on the right sleeve. Kappa did a pretty good job as Leeds United’s kit manufacturer but this new adidas number looks pretty smart and ensures Leeds United are Premier League ready.

Leeds United haven’t always played in the brilliant all white kits they do today. When the club was founded in 1919 the kit looked awfully familiar to our West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town with light blue and white stripes. In 1934 Leeds switched to play in the colours of Leeds, adopting blue and gold halved shirts. But aong came Don Revie 1961, a man with a vision, under him the club was reinvented with switching to the famous all white kit. Revie's famous decision showed the touch of a man with a dream, an ideal that his debt-ridden, down-at-heel club might one day emulate the feats of one of Europe's richest and most brilliantly successful teams, Real Madrid. Once again, on our return to the top flight we emulate Real Madrid with a crisp white adidas shirt.

Made from moisture-absorbing fabric to keep you cool when Bielsa Ball is in full flow, an embroidered crest and crew neck-collar look solid on show. Three stripes line the shoulders in royal blue, whilst AEROREADY technology helps the players reach their peak and the kit is complete with traditional white shorts and socks. So from the streets to the stands, no matter where the game takes you, show your support for this one club city. Your Leeds United heroes will wear the shirt with pride, returning to the top-flight for the first time in 16 years, each one a champion.

A new journey begins. With anticipation rising and an exciting campaign ahead, the new shirts will be available from 9am on Thursday 20th August first online only at https://shop.leedsunited.com/ and coming soon on http://adidas.co.uk<e>
