Good Morning. It's Thursday 28th January, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road...

Radrizzani meets with Inter boss

Andrea Radrizzani held a meeting yesterday with Inter Milan director Beppe Marotta, but according to Inter-News, transfer targets were not on the menu. The Italian media outlet claim the officials were actually speaking about the financial crisis brought by the Coronavirus pandemic, and discussing the solutions that they may find to recover from the money issues which have been building since last March.

Galatasaray closing in on Alioski

Galatasaray are closing in on Gjanni Alioski according to the Turkish media. Alioski's contract at Elland Road is due to expire at the end of the season, and the Turkish giants want to take advantage of the situation.

The versatile 28-year-old has featured heavily under Bielsa so far this season and has established himself once again as a key figure in the side. I recall reading an article two years ago where Leeds refused to have anything to do with Galatasaray citing the scenes in Taksim square in April 2000 as the reason. I'd also be surprised if Alioski wanted to make the move, knowing it would upset the Leeds fans.

Extent of Llorente's injury will be known today

Diego Llorente underwent scans on his damaged hamstring yesterday. The 27yo has had an injury prone start to his Elland Road career following damage to his right hamstring during an International match for Spain in September.

Llorente was called upon in the early stages of the Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge in Early December, where he injured his other hamstring. Llorente finally made his first start of the season at St James Park on Tuesday night. He lasted just 10 minutes before being hauled off injury.

The results of the scans will be known today.

I find Alioski entertaining and frustrating in equal measures. He's probably got the biggest heart in the squad but his final ball and decision making are not the best which is a shame as he's obviously a talented player. I don't like him at full back, he's a bit of a liability, but going forward he's more than capable of producing something and is a squad player at best.

If we have another £100m to spend on 4/5 players then i could think of other players i would rather move on first, or loan out. I think it's possibly a done deal that he is leaving. He will get a better financial deal with him being a free agent.

He has the right to go where he chooses, i personally won't hold anything against him.

That would seem to rule out Alioski going there.

I love Alioski. He's not a long term solution anywhere on the pitch, really, but he's a more than capable fill-in at a number of positions and he's all Leeds. Side before self every time and gives his best every moment he's out there. Plus, the notion of any Leeds player going there turns my stomach.
His presence in the dressing room is probably worth his salary

Now you mention Davis, I'd move him on as well.

If we wanted to extend his contract I should think negotiations would already be underway so I suspect he’ll be on his way at the end of the season. Always liked him though, a cheeky endearing character with decent ability and always gives 100%. Most of all though possesses that useful knack of being able to wind up the opposition. If he does go I wish him well.
Sadly I fear you maybe right Bbgg...My heart says keep him but my head says it may/will not be possible...
