Good Morning. It's Thursday 15th July, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road...

Italian media links Leeds with Croatian winger Josip Brekalo

Italian media, and overseas transfer specialists 'Calciomercato.it' have reported that Leeds are have expressed interest in Wolfsburg ace Josip Brekalo. The highly rated 23 year old winger was instrumental in helping Wolfsburg to fourth place in the Bundesliga last term. He predominantly operates down the right wing but has also played at right back. Last term to netted seven times, and contributed three assists in 22 appearances.

Brekalo is a Croatian International. He has 27 caps to his name (and four goals). He featured three times for his Country during the Euro's. According to Calciomercato, Wolfsburg are open minded about Leeds taking Brekalo on loan, including an obligation to buy (a little bit like Jean Kevin Augustin, but with a happier outcome). Brekalo has also attracted the likes of Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Fiorentina. A fee of 15.4m (€18m) is expected.

Brekalo sparked controversy in 2018 after stating that he would not like to wear a captain's armband with LGBT flag colours. He also 'liked' homophobic comments on the club's Instagram post of captain Josuha Guilavogui wearing the armband. Brekalo blamed it on a mobile phone malfunction.

Bournemouth interested in Leif Davis loan

Bournemouth are in advanced talks to bring Leif Davis down to the South Coast on a season long loan. The 21yo only featured a handful of times last season. The performances of Alioski and Dallas have kept his opportunities very limited.

Davis joined the Whites in 2018 from Morecombe for an undisclosed fee, and went straight into the U23's. He has been a fringe player for the last two seasons. Cherries Manager Scott Parker has made Davis a top target of theirs this season, and with the arrival of Firpo at Elland Road, Bielsa will be keen for Davis to get first team action.

Leeds make cash offer for Woodman

According to the Newcastle Chronicle, Leeds have made a cash bid for Magpies keeper Freddie Woodman, but could it be too late?

Reports surfaced yesterday that the 24 year old shot stopper had not only agreed terms with Bournemouth, but had passed his medical too! Only a foot injury to first choice (Newcastle) keeper Martin Dubravka had prevented Woodman from flying out to join the Cherries at their training camp in Marbella.

Woodman has impressed during his two season loan move to Championship outfit Swansea, where he made 88 appearances for the Swans. It is understood that Woodman is on a short list of three drawn up by Messrs Bielsa and Orta. Levante goalkeeper Daniel Cardenas and Kristoffer Klaesson from Norweigan outfit Vålerenga are believed to be the other two!

No8 Dallas, No10 Klich.

Bamford with Rodrigo waiting in the wings.

What is Shacks best position? Bielsa rates the kid because he's still here. RB cover for Ayling? Or is he a AM competing with Klich, Roberts, Dallas & Rodrigo?

Because that's the team I'd start but I'm not the great man.

Idont think that its because MB does not like to make changes, he was somewhat forced into that last year, this year he can really "mix and match" to suit games, and there is none better to do that...

Going to be interesting to see if MB alters his thinking going forward something he's been disinclined to do so far and that's not a negative comment. He makes tweaks not wholesale changes..

Meslier
Ayling
Firpo
Llorente
CB?
Phillips
No 8 ?
Rahinha
Harrison
No 10?
Bamford

8 names set in stone for me, will be interesting to see who grabs the final 3, one of whom is most fans POTS Dallas.

At CB? It's Koch (Who we paid good money for but is not a natural left footed player), Cooper (Club captain and that's an important distinction, Struijk (an up and coming left footed centre back)

At no8? One would assume Dallas, Klich or AN other because we do seem to be in the market for a centre mid

At 10? Roberts (Who came a long way last year and has excellent vision) Rodrigo (The record signing and top class footballer) Klich (Very clever footballer who covers every blade of grass and can make those killer passes)
