Good Morning. It's Thursday 16th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road...

Does Struijk want Brugge move?

Respected Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has stated that Pascal Struijk is interested in a move to Club Brugge, in the New Year. The Jupiler Pro League outfit were expected to make a move for Struijk in the Summer, but a bid was never forthcoming. In recent times, the 13 time Champions have slipped down the pecking order, in what is considered to be a moderately poor league. They currently sit seventh (out of 16), after sixteen games.

Struijk, 24, has been in sensational form this season, earning him both the ER Captaincy, and plaudits all over social media. He has attracted the attention of high flying Tottenham Hotspur in recent times, yet according to Tavolieri, a return back to his homeland is his preferred choice. To add insult to clickbait, Tavolieri states that Leeds would be willing to do a deal at €15 million (£13.1m), £2.6m less than he was worth during the Summer. Considering he is contracted until the Summer of 2027, it is highly unlikely that Struijk is going anywhere.

49ers ready to flex their financial muscles in January

Football journalist Mark Douglas believes that 49ers Enterprises are ready to flex their muscles in the January window, and back Daniel Farke as he looks to secure promotion back to the promised land. After a difficult Summer, which saw a mass exodus of first team talent scrambling for the exit door, Daniel Farke has managed to rebuild a squad, arguably better than their previous campaign, for a fraction of the price. £26m was generated during the Summer, thanks mainly to the sales of Tyler Adams and Rodrigo; whilst Joel Piroe, Ethan Ampadu, Ilea Gruev, Glen Kamara, Karl Darlow and Sam Byram were all bought in as reinforcements (and Djed Spence and Joe Rodon arrived on loan).

All in all, Leeds made a nett spend of around £3.5m, which according to Douglas puts Leeds "well within Financial Fair Play parameters". Should they want to, Leeds can bring in as many as three loanees, yet have the capital to invest on top talent should they wish to do so. Whilst another centre-back must be at the top of Farke's wish list, where else would you like to see Leeds strengthened? According to Douglas...

Now the club’s new owners, the 49ers, have their feet under the table, you suspect January will see Leeds flex their muscles in the transfer market. They are well within Financial Fair Play parameters and are currently within touching distance of the top two.

Seeing as it's a slow news day, how touching :verysad:

Now manager of the Uruguay national team, Bielsa is aiming to secure qualification with his side for the 2026 World Cup, in a challenging South American group.

After four games so far in their group, Uruguay sit second in the table with seven points, above Brazil having clinched an historic first win over them since 2001.
Up next for El Loco is a clash against his homeland Argentina in Buenos Aires, the biggest challenge yet with Lionel Messi’s World champions boasting a 100% record in qualifying so far.
Bielsa signs Leeds shirt
Bielsa arrived to prepare for this fixture this week, in which he was greeted by fans at the entrance, one of them wearing a Newell’s Old Boys shirt and holding a Leeds shirt in his hands.

The legendary manager stopped to chat and gave his signature to the fan, signing the Leeds shirt before heading inside.

I saw this PS item yesterday, my immediate thought - " I've never seen a bigger piece of 'clickbait' yet"

This below should be printed off in bold and thrown on Ortas desk :
