Nat Phillips back on Leeds radar

Good Morning. It's Wednesday 24th January, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road...

Nat Phillips back on Leeds radar

Leeds have once again been linked with a loan move for Liverpool centre back Nat Phillips, after an unimpressive first half of the season north of the border. The 26 year old had been linked with a move to Leeds for much of last Summer, but Farke was only interested in a loan deal, which the Reds rejected. They slapped a £10m price tag on the former Bolton academy player, but when nobody came forward, agreed to loan him out to Celtic for the season.

Things didn't go to plan for Phillips, and after just six appearances, Liverpool have recalled him. Whilst a centre back wouldn't be top of most fans wish list, he would bolster our back line, and at 6' 3, would add some valuable height to the team.

Leeds fight it out with Brum for Polish Messi

Leeds will 'fight it out' with Birmingham City over the signature of highly rated Liverpool youngster Mateusz Musialowski. The versatile forward, dubbed the Polish Messi has fallen out with the Reds over his refusal to sign a new terms at Anfield. He has been tipped to leave permanently this month with Liverpool's blessing, five months short of the expiry of his contract! The 20yo can play on either wing or as an attacking midfielder.

Hull expected to tie up Giles deal

Hull City are expected to tie up the deal for Luton Town's versatile defender Ryan Giles. The 23 year old only joined the Hatters last Summer, but has fallen down the pecking order, making just five league starts! Prior to his move to Kenilworth Road, he had been sent out on loan eight times by his parent club Wolves. Hull will splash out £5m, the same amount Luton paid for him last Summer...

Lets hope the Nat Philips deal never materialises. No harm to the guy but any time i saw him play he never impressed me and he certainly isn't better than what we currently have.

Nat Phillips not worth a shite for a bang average Celtic team in a shite SPL; aye, he's exactly what we need. Clickbait, lazy journalism; if this happens, then DF has fooled us all!!!

Roma fans must hate us :)

Imagine having Kristensen and Llorente in your back line.

Oh that's right we don't need to imagine it, we watched them be part of teams that conceded 160 goals in two seasons :?

He has no positional sense whatsoever, and his first touch is non existent. I never saw him control the ball to see his football skills.

Whatever Liverpool saw in him originally I don’t know, but they can’t wait to get rid I’m sure. Celtic played him, what 7 games? Now they’ve got rid.

If a forward line like Killie have got had him struggling what chance does he have in the upper English leagues.?
Thanks for the insight OB

If he's struggling that badly in the SPL then he's got no chance in the Championship. Livarpool can keep their rubbish.

They are starting Gomez every week, I'd be nervous if he was playing for us, never mind Phillips

Phillips doesn't seem too realistic, as others have pointed out.
