Sinisterra set to complete £20m deal

Good Morning. It's Friday 9th February, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Sinisterra set to complete £20m deal

Luis Sinisterra will make his Bournemouth move permanent later today in a deal worth £20m

The finer details are a little sketchy, depending on which source you believe. Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano claims the South Coast outfit have activated a clause in Sinisterra's contract, whilst most other articles closer to home indicate it was a mutual decision between both clubs.

It has become customary for Leeds to sell their players for a loss, but this deal may actually make sense. His previous club Feyenoord had a hefty sell on clause, but only if Leeds made a profit on the deal.

Leeds shelled out £21m for him 18 months ago, and are selling him for £20m.
Nevertheless, the Dutch giants are claiming on their website they will earn €470,000 from the deal.

Sin bins could be introduced in the beautiful game

Sin bins could be introduced in professional football, with players banished to the sidelines for ten minutes, for dissent or cynical fouls.

The International Football Association Board are due to publish details later today, with the new ruling expected to include plans to introduce blue cards! Two blue cards would result in a player's dismissal for the rest of the match, as would a blue and a yellow card (lets hope nobody is colour blind).

There have already been trials at amateur and youth level, and now IFAB are keen to try it out at a higher level.

Leeds and Southampton will be too strong for Ipswich

Former player, now pundit Sam Parkin believes there is a 'sense of inevitability' that Leeds and Southampton will prove too strong for Ipswich Town, in the battle for second place in the Championship.

With one win in eight, the wheels have well and truly come off at Portman Road for Kieran McKenna's side, yet have only lost four times all season, the joint best in the division.

They face a tricky tie against West Brom at the weekend, which would have a massive effect on their moral. If they are victorious against the Baggies Saturday lunchtime, they will regain second spot, and still have a game in hand over Leeds, but Parkin is resigned that Southampton and Leeds will fight it out for second place come May!
“I just think a lot of it is down to Kieran McKenna now and his man-management and motivational skills.

“Can he turn them around now to go on another run when Southampton and Leeds are there now? It’s not a question of whether they will be able to maintain their form, they are going to have to pick up an incredible number of points to keep those two at bay.

“I am enthused to see how they respond in a really difficult game against West Brom. It is important not to forget, this has been a hellish run for Ipswich. “We knew going into this period that this was a horrendous run of games – the East Anglia derby, Leeds, Leicester – they have played them all in the last month.

“If they can get a maximum return in this game, it’s not over for them but it does feel like a sense of inevitability that the form of Leeds and Southampton is going to be too much.”

Heard it was a foot bruise and that he should be fine for tomorrow’s game.

I'm not too sure Joffy needs to see more of these headline questions myself :

Another day, another press conference. We're speaking to Daniel Farke again this afternoon.

On the agenda:

- Pascal Struijk and Dan James' injuries

- Jamie Shackleton's illness

- Rotherham United

- FA Cup Fifth Round vs Chelsea

- Which other farm animals should be fearful when Joe Gelhardt is around

- Connor Roberts' availability

Didn't Sinisterra threaten the club with legal action if he didn't get a move? Take the £20m and let Bournemouth keep the w**ker
