Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 4th June) - Football League says the show must go on

I think most of us would echo what Ratscoot says in that we'd rather finish the season rather than rely on fairness if the league season was curtailed early. Too much money involved for clubs to simply take relegation without a fight. If the season ends then there really isn't much any team can say ...

Re: Nine to go, how will we get on?

I believe we're professional enough to get the job done :scar1 Professional and good enough to be top of the league. Professional and confident that we can play our way to the title. Contrast that with all the whining sh*tbags at teams who weren't good enough to not be in relegation places and have...

Re: Nine to go, how will we get on?

Does anyone thing there not being a nervy Elland Road crowd might help them in some way? Sometimes the nail biting tension doesn't help the team is some situations. It could certainly work that way. The nervousness around the stadium (and in everyone's homes) after Derby equalised was certainly mat...

A Preston player has tested positive for the Corona Virus AFTER the club’s first full-contact training session! What happens now? I guess a lot depends on if he was at the contagious stage of the illness. With testing every couple of days in theory the illness can be detected before the player beco...

QPR 'appalled' by EFL plans for 20 June restart https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52875186 Are QPR retarded? When are they expecting us to start, September? For the last few weeks the league has been saying they want to finish before the end of July so it is completely unproffessionla of QPR if ...

Uncharted territories when you can make 5 changes all at once... Sometimes one substitution can change a game. Making 5 at once will make a massive impact. Making changes can turn a match either way. When I was a player manager there be games where I wouldn't make a change because it was a) bringin...

A lot of people will be doing likewise 64. The easing seems more of a way of deflecting attention away from Cummings.

Morning Weasel, do you remember 30 years ago, last game of the season Leeds went to Bournemouth in their droves. Only a small portion of those fans had tickets but it didn't stop thousands on turning up and unfortunately causing havoc... Indeed. Trouble wasn't at the game it was before and mainly a...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 1 June) Fears of congregation may force authorities to switch games away from Elland

It just baffles me that they think that by playing matches at a neutral venue they think fans will simply stay at home for the day. If for example Liverpool are playing in a match that could seal the title they could play the match on the moon and it would make no difference. What will happen by not...

I would be guessing at 4 mediocre midtable matches.

If you could select a Leeds bargain XI , who would be in it?

I'll start with Chapman, Gradel and Strachan
Snodgrass for £10k from Livingston and Beckford for around £50k from Wealdstone.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 29th May) - Where has Jackie Harrison been?

The Police are now saying that the games where teams could clinch titles could be moved to neutral venues instead of the home venue of those teams potentially involved (i.e. Liverpool, Leeds, WBA). Absolutely makes no sense at all because even if for example Leeds won the title at a neutral venue I ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 29th May) - Where has Jackie Harrison been?

Citeh are a victim of their own success. If they bought some kid through the ranks to be one of the finest players ever, and at the same time they bought a player for 100m, they'd be more excited over the 100m player! They are very excited about their local lad Phil Foden. The trouble though is tha...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 29th May) - Where has Jackie Harrison been?

I wouldn't worry about Jack Harrison not being back yet - City seem to act with class and especially with Pep being in charge I can't see them doing the dirty on us - despite his massive improvement I couldn't see him getting in their first team and their real goal this season is to win the Champion...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 27th May) - Artificial crowd noise at Elland Road?

I wouldn't be looking to get rid of any. The only possibles would be Douglas as he hasn't really featured as much as he should and seems to have dropped down the pecking order and Forshaw due mainly to the injury problems although he did well at the start of the season before the injury. All of our ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 26th May) Elland Road could see crowds introduced gradually from January

So you think it's right and proper that the league can't get it's act together and dish out appropriate punishment. Even if Sheff Wed and Derby got points deductions it would have to be huge deductions to make any difference. Sheff Wed would have to be deducted 15 points to go below Barnsley and De...

A much better game and teams looking a bit more up to speed now. Noticeable also a lot more touching and closeness between players even with opposition players.

Re: 50 or 60 clubs could go bust

If Sky and BT etc to a lesser extent stopped putting money into football the premiership would have to cut wages by 75% and transfer fees would be 20M for the best player in they could afford. Oligarch owners would disappear. That would bring the Championship much closer to the prem in terms of fin...

Re: 50 or 60 clubs could go bust

Strange isn't it how so many fans were clamouring us to pay Kalvin Phillips what he was worth in the summer so as to keep him here. Is any footballer in our division worth what we are paying him? Yet it isn't Sky paying his wages and what choice do the club have if they want to satisfy the fans? The...
