Pablo Hernandez runs in the 5.50 Wolverhampton race tomorrow, current odds 12/1

Still got it at an advancing age & Wolverhampton obviously isn’t the highest grade, but he’s still not going to beat a racehorse
That must be why we kick off early.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 5th December) - The writing is on the wall for Nketiah

People seem to be attaching too much significance to Eddie's u23 scoring record but how strong were the teams he faced. International footy has a lot of poor teams, just look at how many goals Kane and England scored. Our U23s would likely have thrashed a lot of the national youth sides too but it d...

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw

Good tie for us - even if we lose we get decent money. Much better than losing to a lower side.

Re: Confidence

The saying form is temporary, class is permanent springs to mind. it is a reason why MB doesn't chop and change his side. He knows the potential of these players and knows he can get them to play to that level. When it all clicks they are merely doing what Bielsa has made possible by his faith in th...

Re: Leeds Utd v Middlesborough Match Thread - Costa replaces Roberts, Nketiah on the bench

With Kalvin out next week, will MB play McCalmont or Dallas out of position? Would imagine White to DM with Berardi in at CB. I may be the only one but I thought we were average first half, I think getting the early goal meant Boro had to play a bit more than most teams who just seem to allow us to...

I would suggest that it is actually the results that haven't been a true reflection of our performances. How many matches this season have we been the worse team? I would suggest 0. Even though people suggested WBA played well against us we could and should have scored 3 or 4 in the second half.

Re: Unai Emery sacked!

If Freddie Ljungberg does well in his caretaker role and is offered the permanent job I can see Nketiah being recalled as FL will know all about him as he was Arsenal U23s coach.

With Arsenal sacking their manager it could seriously affect the Neketiah decision as their new manager may want him in their first team squad.

Re: Stay Classy . . . . .

Very admirable but I think you will find that if the english retire abroad in Spain they don't head for the the hills of Adelucia but instead join and english colony in Poble Nou de Benitachell and they just order up their full english brekkie in English. So true. When I moved to Spain the thinking...

I think Bielsa knows more English than he lets on, he just prefers to keep a distance between himself and the press.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 28th November) If Nketiah stays, don't expect any transfer activity in January

I don't really see any point strengthening either unless there was another Dan James type player somewhere, but with Costa improving every week there may be no need. Obviously if Neketiah leaves then we need to replace him but if not then we have a fairly balanced squad. For all people moan about a ...

Re: Reading FC v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Cooper starts ahead of Berardi

Where we do get goals is when we go into blitzkrieg mode (or as big Sam would say hoof ball), but lets be polite and say, devastating counter attack. The goals come from 3-4 passes with the ball moving from the back to front with pace. Not any dribbling, just swift and accurate passing. This does n...

Re: Reading FC v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Cooper starts ahead of Berardi

Exactly what i thought. Slow build ups give the opposition time to set themselves . Leeds don't attack at speed anywhere near enough when they clearly have the chance to do so. Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk The trouble is normally when we are attacking the opposition simply has everybody back ...

Disappointed Jack didn't chest it down, take it round the penalty spot, dummy the keeper then pop it in. Overall we dominated once again but the goals column doesn't reflect it.

Casilla very unlucky not to make my top 6, two good and brave saves after Coop had left it short twice also noted The benefit of having a keeper who reads the play and isn't stuck on his line. Averts danger before it becomes dangerous Costa. Getting better. He can play with Pablo and once they get ...

Re: Bielsa Press Conference Pre Reading - 25/11/19

I would imagine he needed to be far more hands on last year as the stuff he was implementing was revolutionary in comparison to what the players were used to. Now it is likely a lot more fine tuning with more observing and tweaking things.

Re: The evolution of Bielsaball?

More like a chess battle at times with us nibbling away at the pawns before going for the kill. A few times last season where we were on top right from the start but conceded an early sucker-punch goal and then struggled to get anything from the match as the opposition parked the bus.
