I would have said this too but as Smudge credits all on here with intelligence, knowledge and experience then he would already know we all think that.

As teams start dropping out of the euros it might see deals starting to get done and the domino effect - not been many transfers at all anywhere yet.

Re: Report: Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani keen to takeover Valencia

Have to say ive never been keen on Radz owning lots of clubs, financially i dont see how we dont lose out given he isnt that wealthy in footballing terms. But maybe now with Peter Lowy and the York family taking a proper interest in LUFC we may not lose out? I would say it is different with Rads as...

Re: Kalvin Phillips

Interesting to see that all the clamour, media, england fans etc, is for KP to be dropped. YEt no mention of why it should be KP dropped rather than Rice who was almost anonymous in the match and I really don't see why people rave about him.

Re: Aston Villa Thread

As I just said in my last post, I don't really know what to tank about the ESR bid. I honestly don't know though about if we're selling Jack. Most believe that Buendia is coming in to play on the right, which then we have still a hole at the #10 position. City have the one mostly linked with him bu...

Re: Key factor sees Leeds as most likely side to sign Real Madrid veteran Marcelo

How the hell would signing him fit in with the ethos of this club? I agree with this fella. It is a move that would make little sense. Mentoring someone like Huggins is fine and well at another club but Bielsa works differently to any other club so what Marcelo could teach Huggins probably wouldn't...

Re: Today's Games

Southgate is the main culprit, but who out of those players actively went out to assert themselves and win the match? None that I saw. The trouble is though that without a way of playing and players being on the same wavelenght then it will always be hard for anyone to really assert themselves as t...

Re: Today's Games

Tbf though you could stick prime Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Diego Maradona in a three behind Brazilian Ronaldo in a 4-2-3-1 and Southgate would still find a way to make it dull and negative. He is the problem. That is the crux. You look at Leeds, we don't have a Grealish, a Foden, a Kane, a Sterl...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 15th June) - Should we be worried by lack of transfer activity?

No need to panic, don't forget how late we swooped for Llorente and Raphinha. I dare say some of our targets may be playing at the euros and their clubs are probably holding out in the hope that a good tournament sees the value of their players rise. Whilst we have been linked with countless players...

And no doubt all the media experts would be saying how it was Southgate who showed Bielsa that there was more to KP's game than just sitting!!!!

Re: Tyler Roberts

A hedging their bets type of deal really. I think Bielsa, and others, are not yet convinced but have seen flashes of what he can do. The trouble he has is that he may get less and less chances to show he can cut it. He had a great chance with the run of games where he started towards the end of the ...

Re: When does it change?

I think it stops when they play well enough to be in the first team on merit. After that point the 'potential' tag gets dropped because they have reached their potential (or at least done well enough to be a first team regular). So I suppose potential is just another way of saying they aren't good e...

Re: Diego Llorente- Has Covid.

For me this competition itself is fine. What they shouldn't have been doing was playing the qualifiers where players from several different clubs were mixing and then returning to their clubs. The competition now is fine as the groups of players will not be mixing as much, just with an opposition te...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 8th June) - Leeds Target Perraud Bound for St Mary's

Was happy enough to say he wants to play for Liverpool  The guy doesnt want to come. We move on. The thing we have to look at here is the player's age. He won't have ever seen Leeds on the tv as a Premier League team. He possibly had never heard of Leeds before our supposed interest in him (o...

Re: Is paying £18 million not to have Jean-Kevin Augustin around a good deal?

Morally we were in the wrong, legally though we were not and it will be interesting to see how it ends up - don't forget the huge amount of players that refused to play for their clubs after 30th June when their contratcs were up - at no point did FIFA rule that those contracts had to be 'morally' h...

Re: Today's Games - England v Romania

Ayling, Harrison & Bamford should have been considered. I doubt those three even crossed his mind, you need to play for the fashionable & his favourite clubs to qualify for selection. It must have been galling for Gareth having to pick Kalvin. Southgate probably hadn't even heard of KP until Villa ...

Re: Would you take Nketiah back?

It did look like Bielsa was trying to mould him into a much better all round player and EN was making progress when he was recalled to Arsenal. As such I would be in the same boat as Faaip and that if MB wanted him then it could be a good deal as he has some excellent raw ability/attributes. We have...
