Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 22nd January) Premier League order Leeds to install AstroTurf on Elland Road step

Most pitches these days are hybrid with synthetic materieals woven throught the grass.

Spurs regular pitch is a hybrid pitch. The NFL pitch is fully synthetic.

I saw this but the Daily Mail article below states that it is the replacecement NFL hybrid pitch, which Spurs wouldn't need due to the lack of NFL (and Rugby) games as a result of the pandemic. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9175649/Tottenham-help-Leeds-United-pitch-problems-Yor...

Phil Hay says...

Leeds' replacement pitch will see them through to the end of the season, when a full installation of a new pitch is planned. Surface has been acquired from Spurs, who were growing it for use at their own stadium further down the line. Costing £300k.

Re: A defence in need of a centre back partnership

For all that has been said in the media about our defensive weaknesses, 7 different partnerships with Cooper, Koch and Llorente all missing significant periods has not been good. Others have stepped in and done ok but shifting people around weakens the team in other areas. Time for Cooper and Lloren...

Leeds United in race to replace Elland Road pitch ahead of Everton game

https://motforum.com/images/th/ER-Pitch-2020.jpg The state of the Elland Road pitch has been a talking point for most of this season, even Jack Grealish chipped in with a cheeky “Everyone just slips on this pitch” comment on Instagram during our game with Brighton last weekend. Starved of any serio...

Steve Bruce’s gamble fails as Leeds look ahead to Newcastle game

https://www.motforum.com/images/th/bruce.png Anyone who watched Steve Bruce’s Newcastle at Bramall Lane the other week would probably have thought they were the worst team in the Premier League. Which is impressive given they were playing Sheffield United, a team who had not won a game all season u...

Re: Where will we get the five wins we need?

You could rephrase the question, and ask how Fulham in 18th are going to turn around an 11 point deficit against Leeds. That's what it would take, currently, for us to end up in the bottom three. Unless you assume we're 'falling apart again', it isn't going to happen. I expect those at the bottom t...

Leeds will never finish above 10th under Bielsa says Keys

https://alchetron.com/cdn/richard-keys-87a28f85-d659-457f-b63d-65e606baca6-resize-750.jpg There appears to be some odd expectations from the media of Leeds United this season. Perhaps it’s because we came out fighting and contested with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City early on. Perhaps i...

Re: I refuse to believe the pundits and many of our supporters..

It’s not doing difficult to ‘work is out’, Bielsa is quite open about his philosophy and the way we play. Doing something about it on the other hand is a different matter. In the Championship teams didn’t have the ability, in the Premier League teams and players are much much better. We’re 12th with...

Positives: Said before but Roberts. And I wasn't worried about Kiko in the slightest, which was nice.

Nevatives: Toothless, not for the first time recently

Didn't think Brighton were all that, we were just ineffective until the later stages of the game.

Re: Prem league predictions...538

As do I mate... not a big follower of stats but I do like this one... this weeks results have definately laid out what you say about the "top 11 Bottom 9"... Intersting if Villa win all 3 in hand it puts them 1pt behind Scum... I think Sheffield Utd and Villa prove that you need to stengthen to sta...

Re: Leeds United have a 97% chance of Premier League survival

Statistics reassure but with Leeds United all seems beyond figures and percentages. It is more of a Shakespearien outcome !! Maybe we finish 5th or fight for our lives in the last minutes of injury time in the last match ! I don't know if FiveThirtyEight have factored in a 'Leeds United' variable i...

Re: Prem league predictions...538

Interesting to see the evolution, I think we can do better than 46 points.

A definite top 11 and bottom 9 feel about the predictions. Our aim in the summer needs to be to strengthen and break into that top 11.

Leeds United have a 97% chance of Premier League survival

https://motforum.com/images/th/CornerFlag2.jpg It’s always a bit nervy being a Leeds United fan, especially during the run in to our Championship winning season with Brentford and West Brom breathing down our necks. Football is awash with statistics and analytics these days and to give myself some ...

Dallas!

That said I dont think Alioski has been bad cover. Sure he makes mistakes but on the whole he's been ok. For the goal today Ayling and Dallas were at fault. Two players playing out of position.

Leeds United's Five Worst Defeats

After last weekends Crawley debacle, Marcelo Bielsa described the game as Leeds United's 'fifth-worst loss'. So my question to you is, which four defeats were worse? Would you have any of the games below in that list? Histon 1-0, 2008 Sutton 1-0, 2017 Newport 2-1, 2018 Colchester 3-2, 1971 Sunderlan...

Re: Elland Road pitch

Pitch is several years overdue for replacement, isn't it? Was going to be done last summer, but there wasn't time due to the extended season. 25 years since a full reconstruction, 7 years since the playing surface was relaid. Kinnear says it needs to be done, was on the list for the summer but take...
