Mine would have been

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 13th May) Leeds could blow a third of their budget on a keeper

There's a link between strikers and keepers. No hiding place for either and both rely on confidence. I rate Mes, all the skill sets are there except he's probably a little passive behind Amps and Rodon. I'd have like to have seen him take charge of his defence, all the best keepers do Lets not ...

Re: Harry Gray

Do you think he's proud of those? :duno: I do wonder players who make basically 0 contributions whatsoever but get a medal, how do they feel? Depends how involved with the squad they were imo. I have a feeling Guiliavogui was an old head behind the scenes, a good locker room presence, excellent ...

Not even Tiger could do it.
Didn't Rory also win the "5th" major this year. would make it an unofficial 3 in a row. I didn't like those odds but did think about including rory in my 3. Also my favourite player and I might jinx him.

Did I? That was a mistake, they're not that good .. and I once called Summerville a poor man's Raphinha, hell of a compliment. Context is often lost here isn't it?

By definition its usually used to describe someone as a slightly worse version of someone else.
Exactly... But it then depends on whom your comparing him to

Re: Promotion or not?

Little harsh on Ramazani imo. Very limited opportunities in the league, less than 9 full games of minutes he managed 6 goals and 2 assists. Almost a goal or assist a game. Think Ramazani did exceptionally well with his limited opportunities I'm not disagreeing but why do people always think poor ...

Re: Promotion or not?

I'd say Rothwell didn't stand out as a loan player. You expect loan players from premier league clubs to be key players. But, outside of that, as a squad player, he was very useful. Would at least merit the same rating as Ramazani. Probably higher. We were forced into using him unfortunately. The ...

Re: Promotion or not?

We signed Rodon for £10m. Rothwell deserves at least a B. Aaronson 9 goals & 2 assists, probably an A minus or at least a B. Wober scored a goal, and Guilavogui & Schmidt did their bit when coming on as subs. My initial post should read ten signings as I forgot we'd signed Darlow & Byram in 2023. ...

Re: Promotion or not?

Solomon/Tanaka/Bogle were the pick of the signings. Ramazani flashed, Rothwell was over rated. The other three didn't feature enough or at all

A+ for Solomon/Bogle/Tanaka. B for Rama, C- for Rothwell. The rest ungraded

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 13th May) Leeds could blow a third of their budget on a keeper

Our upwards bump in results and end of season form coincided with him replacing Mes There was a notable improvement in defensive confidence. The key reason for the bump was Gruev getting the a run and not time sharing with Rothwell, he balanced the team properly and swept up really well. I counted ...

Re: Patrick Bamford poll

To be fair to the club when they offered him the new deal he only had 1 year left on his contract and had just had a really good season in the prem. He'd had 2 seasons without any significant injuries. If we hadn't got him to sign then his saleable would have gone down and he could have left on a ...
