Re: QPR V Leeds Utd Match Thread

That was a worrying presser, MB seems really pi$$ed off. I think Saturday is a really really important game, we need to steady the ship and settle the nerves of everyone, the pressure is on big time. Bielsa seemed very defensive, the comment about us being between 7th and 8th best team has to be los...

Of course but if Leeds don't go up he will have had a big part to have played in that as well.

Delighted he’s staying at Arsenal, it was written in the stars he’d score the winner against us if he went out on loan again, hope he gets more minutes at arsenal than he did here! :roflmao:

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

I don't think we are particularly 'naive' either; there's a combination of factors that make signing the right players a difficult process. One of those is Bielsa's particularity in choosing players who will compliment and augment his system. I actually welcome this, in preference to accumulating a...

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

Totally unprofessional & unacceptable for a supposedly big club like ours! I'm actually very concerned if we go up as we wouldn't getaway with the current procedures in the premiership, it would bring back memories of our 2003/4 season all over again Do you just completely ignore the good work the ...

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

i find it difficult to beleive that bielsa and orta with all their connections cannot come up with something better than andre gray and billy sharp. Come on guys. Even Che adams scoring record isn't exactly impressive I’d imagine orta had a few names and ones that would be easier to get over the li...

Re: Patrick Bamford

My thoughts entirely but I suppose he's doing what Bielsa is asking of him, wether this is just too much and it's affecting PB's finishing who knows but he's never had an excellent strike rate and I've never regarded him as an out & out striker. Undoubtedly we are more solid when he plays but the t...

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

Before the window started I expected us to get somebody in within the first week, we are now half way through the window and still nothing. I won’t go by what is said in the media as it is all guess work, but we will now be playing our third game without a striker on the bench, that’s not very reass...

Re: Patrick Bamford

He may have played a part in getting Leeds to where they are but if He'd have taken more of his chances the points total would be even better, his conversion rate isn't great either and any of the other top scoreres in the division given his chances would have scored more, and if Leeds don't go up he...

Re: Patrick Bamford

Bamford has played a massive role in getting us to where we are this season, he will play a massive role in where we want to get to.
His conversion rate has been poor, but he is playing well overall, he needs help and somebody to challenge him for his spot. Let’s not get on his back again.

Re: Leeds Utd v Sheffield Wednesday Match Thread - Bamford & Douglas Start

how can him being asked to do too much running be impacting his finishing ability? He typically plays the full 90 so you can't be saying he's tired when he's missing chances from the start of the game, imo he does a lot of pointless running (closing down the keeper etc.) and the midfielders will of...

Interesting, I like that it mentioned Bielsa thinks he’s ready, hopefully true that he does rate him

Re: Ian Poveda

Poveda would be the one to replace Clarke, hopefully the Clarke, hopefully the Clarke of last year and he can give us something off the bench. If he has been in and around the Man City first team he should be certain of a place in the match day squad at least

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

If we don't go up Phillips has a £20m release clause in his contract, he will go as he wants Premiership football, the club know this and are basically mortgaging his fee on Costa etc..if we go up he gets to play there with us and there's no need to sell. I get that Kalvin will be a premiership pla...
