Re: 2025 Summer Transfer gossip and squad discussion (and manager)

We’re actively pursuing Stach apparently and everyone here and elsewhere say he’s great, just what we need. The price quoted today is £17.25m, buttons for a PL midfielder from a top league. Why don’t we just pay it? Last year we missed out on the players we wanted because we didn’t have PL status, th ...

Re: 2025 Summer Transfer gossip and squad discussion (and manager)

Did expect more improvement to the first 11 by now after the board boasts of planning for 6 months. Doesn't seem very well planned so far. In passing, Transfermarkt ( usual valuations well below actual deal prices) have Longstaff valued at £20m. Are we low-balling Newcastle? Have Leeds tried to low- ...

We don't have any 21's anywhere near good enough atm to tack on to our squad, we've let that side slip a bit. Leeds are best bringing through their own talent. IMO
Sorry Faaip, I didn’t make it clear, these are the CL requirements not PL.

Re: Sean Longstaff- Deal close

Makes sense. Knew I’d seen this somewhere, from the Newcastle Chronicle: The competition's rules state clubs must have eight homegrown players in their registered squad, with four of those 'club-trained' - meaning they were at the club for at least three years between the age of 15 and 21. Under-21 ...

YEP suggesting Newcastle were holding out for £15m.

It seems they need to hold on to him to help with the European requirements for homegrown players. Or something.

Re: Jack Harrison

If Everton want Harrison for nothing, we should hold on to him. If selling him means our PSR situation is adversely affected, while the world has gone mad, we should hold on to him. This through gritted teeth, but it would cost more to replace him and Everton have had out pants down enough times ...

I always hated him playing against us, effective if not spectacular. That’s maybe what we’ll need this season.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 7th July) - Leeds on the brink of landing Gudmundsson

Would just be a very sensible deal all round. We get a player who fits in well at the club, isn't going to be unhappy at not playing but has never let anyone down when he has played, either right or left. Byram gets to stay local, be part of his club and work with a manager that he knows very well ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 27th June) Have Leeds turned their attention to Douglas Luiz

The problem is, whilst Habib Diarra is Leeds first choice, his representatives think he is worthy of an elite club — one that means European football next term. At 21, the Strasbourg captain still has much to learn. Much of the hype is due to his potential, not that Leeds will mind, especially if t ...

I didn't want to watch the OP video till the signing was confirmed, no wonder he chuckled in the interview when asked if he liked a tackle.
