Re: Scum/Manure Thread

Still say Cantona saved SAF's career by going to Old Scumford and demonstrating his supreme skill, will-to-win and organisation.
That move will always stick in my craw because Wilko really should have seen his value and kept him.

Re: Sports Newsflash

Only one thought on Super League with no other team able to get promoted to SL and no team in SL able to be demoted - I'll never watch RL again because they have joined the American model. Just a thought!

Re: Stuart Dallas

Stuart Madeley, er, I mean, Paul Dallas - oh, whatever!

I can remember some posts in past seasons - statements which now look as farcical as they sounded to me then - stating him to be a plodder, etc. The man is all heart and resilient. I don't think Marcelo had anything to do with his improvement!

Re: Scottish Referendum

...and the reason I say that is not because I think Scots should not decide their own future, but they've alrady done that. What do these extremists want? An annual referendum so they may get lucky one year?

Surely the will of the Scottish people was clear in the last referendum.

Leeds EPL game coverage on TV in England

I've been wondering about this without actually taking steps to ascertain independently, so thought I would ask the question of forum members. In order to watch most or all of Leeds EPL games over there is it necessary to have cable or satellite TV, or do the BBC and other 'terrestrial' channels giv...

The main thing we need is Marcelo's signature, then he will make great use of what we have without us spending a fortune.

Re: Cassette Tapes are back!

I wouldn't have cassettes back at any price - awful things, maybe an improvement on vinyl for convenience but not for sound.

We're currently switching all our DVDs to SSD so we can bring them back to England.

I'm sure if the 49ers get in they'd go for ESL as somebody hinted. That's what worries me - Americans go for that sort of crap.

Re: Big six proposal

Wasn't this the second bite of the cherry? I don't think it's over - these scumbags will try again after a while, when they've had a chance to modify their approach and make it somewhat more acceptable. Pep had it right - how can it be competition when, if you lose, there is no penalty - it's the Am...

You should be under contract to the USL Rab, although I'm sure they alreeady have something like this in mind, maybe on a smaller scale to start.

My previous point wasn't quite serious but, remember, when money takes over completely anything's possible if we don't guard against it. You may think the US's democracry can't be defeated but, back to the money!
