Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 2nd June) Wilson deal edges closer

Wilson would be great value for £12mil, makes the Jack Harrison for £8mil look a bit expensive imo.

We'd probably have been promoted had we got him last season.

Talented boy, be a very happy Cjay if we get Wilson.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 1 June) Fears of congregation may force authorities to switch games away from Elland

Great point - lets not forget the opposition can make 5 changes, and you're only allowed to make changes during three set intervals. If the opposition suddenly replace half their team, it could change the match. Bielsa does not like change.... He doesnt, find that worrying in a mini season like wha...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 1 June) Fears of congregation may force authorities to switch games away from Elland

Bielsa knows his best XI. Bielsa has his players as fit as a butchers dog. Bielsa doesn't make unnecessary changes as he knows it weakens & disrupts our pattern of play. We are top of the league with Bielsa's tactics & the non-use of not too many substitutions Unprecedented times though and we've h...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 1 June) Fears of congregation may force authorities to switch games away from Elland

I wonder if during these unprecedented times, will MB rotate more? I know he hates rotation, doesnt believe in tiredness etc. But 9 games in just over a month during the summer when temperatures are already mid 20s now and without a pre season. Surely even MB cant think we can go on as usual playing...

Happy Birthday Clint

Legendary Director and Actor Clint Eastwood turned 90 today :) Big fan. The Good the Bad and the Ugly Pale Rider Dirty Harry Unforgiven Million Dollar Baby Gran Torino - still playing convincing tough guys when he is almost 80. And most recently The Mule. A genuine icon. Here's to many more films wh...

Unpopular football opinions

(Stolen from another forum). The place to express any footballing opinions you hold (LUFC related or not) that you think may be unpopular or controversial. So i will start. I dont think Liverpool are a great side. Fully deserve the title but are fortunate to have VAR (nobody knows how many more or l...

Harry Wilson over Jack Harrison any day imo.

No disrespect to Jack but despite his improvement Wilson is the better player atm by a distance.

Wilson over Harrison defo for me.

Tough to separate the top 2 but.

JFH- Had it all, pace, power, good in the air and took an awesome freekick (clips of JKA remind me of JFH.).

Viduka- If only he had some pace, his touch was amazing.

Beckford- had to pick him he scored so many goals.

Re: Best Leeds United Left-Sided/Wingers - VOTE NOW

With respect & to be fair Cjay you've only been watching Leeds about 20 years, there is plenty of LUFC history involving great players prior to Kewell arriving on the scene I understand that and this vote is clearly going to be influenced by the era people grew up in. I respect Eddie for his histor...

Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin

Anyone else really excited to see JKA? He has really impressed me since the break. He may not be here next season, he had barely featured, he hasnt been given a chance and could have thought "sod it, i will just chill". No guarantees he will even get the opportunity to kick a ball, league could stil...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 25th May) Leeds return to Thorp Arch

Our form over the last 10 games is so so bad. Hopefully though the break will have done us good, empty stadiums so no pressure from the stands. Its a bit like the start of the season again and we seem to do well then. Fingers and toes crossed. Would much rather win or even lose promotion on the pitc...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 19th May) Championship season to return 20th June?

So, lemme get this straight...Hull and medical officials rendering these tests are lying? Clubs have 3 options, out source testing, the medical staff of the club do it or the players themselves do it. I hope anyone with the Coronavirus makes a full recovery. But i also think clubs will do whatever ...

So the only team with positive tests in the Championship are the same team that has sent 2 letters to the EFL begging to have the season voided and are plummeting towards relegation since selling there best players in January? :duno:

Re: Tough decisions or adapt?

1) I wouldn't tweak it much. The key is to improve the players in the system. Sometimes it will be the player improving or sometimes a better player is bought in, or steps up from the academy. Also 1 good player bought can make players around them better, an example being Strachan who was the leade...

Tough decisions or adapt?

Been thinking. Say we do get promoted whatever way it happens. Will we have to adapt the style? After all high pressing, high possession attacking Wolves found that they had to become a more counter attacking side in the Premier league. Norwich and Villa have tried to play the same way in the Premie...

Woodgate. The most talented English cb of that time, more natural ability then Rio, Terry, Campbell etc. Such a shame what injuries did to him, for a brief time he was Real Madrid's "true leader" according to Marca, then got injured again, such a shame. Radebe Another one totally ruined by injuries,...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 13th May) EFL meeting will define season

This is all going to get very messy and undignified with clubs spouting whatever line suits them. I do think relegating teams is unfair and would much prefer the season to be completed the right way and for us to win promotion. However its not right to void a season that is nearly finished to save a...
