Re: v Leicester Post Match Thread

Yep, said the same about Kompany when everyone was fawning over him last season. He won't have the best squad in the league in the PL and doesn't have any tactical nous either. Tbf Kompany did an ok job in Belgium so had a bit of credibility. Maresca got sacked from Parma after less than 20 games w...

Re: v Leicester Post Match Thread

So if we weren't trying to win, were we happy with losing 1-0? Strange man. He'll be sacked in October when he struggles in the PL. He won't last long in the Prem unless he learns to adapt His record vs the better teams shows when he just hasn't got better players he struggles. As does the overachi...

Re: Archie Gray

Never played left back before but Farke had absolute confidence to throw him in there, in the most important match of the season and he made a difference. Mature beyond his years. He was struggling defensively and so was Ampadu. Mavididi and Daka gave them the runaround at times as was the concern....

Re: v Leicester Post Match Thread

So here's a quote from Maresca's post match interview: "It was so clear that there was only one team trying to win the game, dominate and create chances. Unfortunately, for the last 10 minutes the dynamic changed." Do we have a sour grapes emoji? Maybe you should coach your team to play f...

Re: Crysencio Summerville

Yeah might be a chance to give Gnonto a game on the left with James on the right and give Summerville a breather. Will be interesting to see who starts v Chelesa. Other way for me :) But I'd be very tempted to do it and see if that lights a fire under Jimmy. Not in a you are dropped bad way. Just a...

I don't think he's been himself for a while, just happens to be super talented and have moments of class.

But overall he's struggled for a bit.

Re: Georginio Rutter

Hopefully a big game for Rutter in terms of his development. No matter what the coaching does things like tonight he needs to work out for himself on the pitch. I think today was almost Pabloesque. Pablo had a habit in games where we weren't at our best and where he wasn't at his best of just grabb...

He showed real character imo.

More than anything.

He could have hid

True I think Paddy helped a lot.

First game I've been disappointed in Piroe tbh, Paddy did help Rutter as you say.

Re: Flat track bullies - Southampton

Update after tonight based on home and away results against top and bottom half sides. Leicester 104.43pts Leeds 98.06pts Ipswich 96.83pts Southampton 92.13pts Interestingly some Leicester fans are describing their side as flat track bullies. Leicester record vs the top 6 is poor, less than a point...

Re: Crysencio Summerville

Still concerned about Jimmy.

He hasn't been at his best for a while and today again seemed off it.

No hammering him or anything.

But would be tempted to give him a rest and get James in?

Re: v Leicester Post Match Thread

Yeah we could easily have been comfortably in front at the break. Leicester dominated second but I feel a lot of that was down to us trying to force it and giving the ball away, Rutter especially couldn't seem to keep the ball. I think if it was level at half time there is no way Leicester get that...

Re: v Leicester Post Match Thread

Can't say we didn't deserve to win it. Xg and Shots had it very even. For the opening 15 minutes they had us. But, as you say, we had the better chances in the 1st half and really should have been ahead. The 2nd half pressure was longer than the 1st. We were up against it for a good 20/25 minutes. ...

Re: Georginio Rutter

He was having a bit of a poor game, caught on the ball, sloppy passes, losing duels and commiting fouls. Despite that moments of quality had shone through in the 1st half Then something seemed to flip and he decided he wasn't going to allow this and then decided to be massively involved in all 3 goa...

Re: v Leicester Post Match Thread

Leicester dominated Middlesboro but suffered from our inability to put the ball in the net It was evident tonight that Leicester are a better side than us overall For most of the game we were out fought, out bullied, out pressed and outplayed Not sure we can say Leicester are better overall from to...

Re: v Leicester Post Match Thread

Thought the first half was actually quite equal, Leicester may have had more control of the game but we had the clearer chances. Piroe, Summerville and Gnonto all had decent chances whilst Faes aside the only other Leicester thing of note was the Daka hit and hope. They were better side 2nd half, co...

Re: Leeds Utd v Leicester City Match Thread

Please forgive Spotty. Newcastle fans generally good guys but a century of irrelevance does make you feel a bit left out occasionally. Perhaps he can talk us through the great Newcastle side of 1927 ? The last time they won a top league title. Or the great side who stormed through the group stages o...
