Fair point.

But OK it's extremely rare, 1 season maybe.

Besides Swansea fans and reporters have told us he wasn't a midfielder often enough.

He played through the middle, as a second striker, left of a front 3 occasionally

But not midfield

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 15th April) Leeds are falling apart - again

Often I have seen Bamford in the box but Summerville ignores him, some may say a sensible decision but strikers need crosses. It was interesting to see how many assists Firpo got from the left side by putting crosses in. Summerville has had a great year but for me I'd like to see him mix it up more...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 15th April) Leeds are falling apart - again

Well you take 11 games to prove your point and I take 4 to prove mine. I think that just proves Kenny right... stats can be twisted to reinforce your point of view. Looking at the last 4 games Boro are 2nd on the form table they are not to be seen on your table, so I assume they are somewhere near ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 15th April) Leeds are falling apart - again

During a Leeds attack Gnonto was in acres of space down the right, yet I was left in disbelief why the pass wasn't played when a good shot on goal would have been the result. Why then was the pass not played? Was it the rigidity of DF's system, or because the other player did not see him? Does it m...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 15th April) Leeds are falling apart - again

Like I said though it gives him chance to get the team that he wants. At Norwich his first year was poor but he started to get the team playing how he wanted. I made the example with Rutter as being a good player but end product lacking and gives the ball away a lot. Yes some great moments but give...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 15th April) Leeds are falling apart - again

If we don't go up I'd want Farke in charge. He'd probably have more chance of building the side he wants rather than having to make the best out of what he had. I know some will say we had this great squad etc but there are glaring weaknesses. I would say we have done better overall than we had a r...

Re: Middlesbrough pre match chat

All that, and yet still faster than Piroe  What has fast got to do with anything anyway? We rarely play balls over the top, everything is slow and infront of the opposition Neither Piroe nor Bamford are fast but we don't play fast football or use over the top passes Piroe is a much better pla...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 15th April) Leeds are falling apart - again

Obviously you want to follow your own narrative and disregard the facts. In the last four games 2 wins 1 draw and 1 loss which puts them in the top 6 of the form table as I stated. Just to refresh your memory. Screenshot_20240415-215032_DuckDuckGo.jpg And as I said, 1 win in 11 when we played them....

Re: Middlesbrough pre match chat

Piroe isn't a 9, even Farke said pre season Piroe likes to arrive late into the box. He's a goal scoring mid You don't score as many goals as Piroe has if you are a goalscoring midfielder. He's not a traditional 9, but he's not a 10 either, he's more a hybrid of the two imo. When we signed him the ...

Re: Clint Eastwood- An action star at 91

Saw “The Mule” again the other day. Fun film not to be taken too seriously but I enjoyed it. Again. The Mule was decent. Watched Cry Macho and that was just sad. He tried his best but bad script and no amount of makeup and camera trickery could hide the fact he was a frail 90 year old man trying to...

Nice to see him out and about still.

Frail clearly but still fairly mobile given he's 94 next month.

Still directing as well.

Recently completed what is expected to be his last film.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 15th April) Leeds are falling apart - again

In perspective these last 3 matches were against 3 sides that we struggled against first time around. We took 1 point this time compared to 4 points from the same 3 fixtures first time around - the big difference being that we beat Blackburn first time around but it was a game where perhaps the sco...

Striker selection poll

Kill some time before next match.

If you were manager for our remaining games then who do you play upfront?

Mateo Joseph

Patrick Bamford

Joel Piroe

Joe Gelhardt

Georginio Rutter.

Thought not
Bamford isn't fast

He's had multiple injuries and is over 30.

Pace has long since gone.

Doesn't show how often they miss sitters or rather than fighting for the ball fall over and moan either

Re: Middlesbrough pre match chat

Because there isn't much difference between all three of them. At least Paddy got into the box for the Gnonto & Summerville crosses even though he didn't anticipate the opportunities, Piroe seems to be adversed to the six-yard box. We definitely need an experienced No.9 whether we're in the PL ...

Should mention Jimmy, Georgie, Amps and Archie, congratulations to all 4. The big issue is we are so predictable ? It must be common knowledge now that we focus almost exclusively down the left, our midfield pushes the same side and we have very limited threat down the right or with runners f...

Re: Middlesbrough pre match chat

It's Joseph or Piroe up front. Don't know why anyone would pick Paddy now, he was worse than JP and missed a free header from 6 yards out. He's been here long enough for us to know he's in one of his slumps, he has 5-10 good games then 5-10 bad, he's always been the same. 4 goals 1 assist in 5, then...

Re: Crysencio Summerville

1779617618715902318 Deserved. Szmodics has more goals and has been brilliant for Blackburn. KDH very good for Leicester. But Summerville has been immense and if our players could score would probably have 15+ assists as well as the 18 goals. Most chances created per 90 in the league. He and Szmodic...
