Re: How disappointed/angry are you with the 49ers? - Poll of the Day (14th Nov)
So you are speculating that the MINORITY owners had all the power. That's an interesting take Bro!! The 49ers have been desperate to distance themselves from all the bad decisions of the last ownership. But evidence exists they had enough power to not only pull the plug on a £20mil deal but also ...

Re: Farke in or out poll (poll reset)
He's achieved nothing of any significence. Another scruffy, bearded coach. Flip side is our current manager has Premier League record of 60 games 9 wins 10 draw 41 defeats A win percentage of 15% Ppg of 0.62 Bo Svensson Bundesliga record is 110 games 38 wins 29 draws 43 defeats Win percentage of 34 ...

Re: Farke in or out poll (poll reset)
Not enough there for me .. He got almost three years at Mainz and ended up with a 36% win record.. So if he had a good first season it went badly with his own team.. for another 18 months. Worse at Berlin. May go on to be a great manager but not showing he's good enough yet Wouldn't by my choice ...

Re: Farke in or out poll (poll reset)
Ouch, no thanks .... In fairness he did do a really good job at Mainz in the main. Kept them up when he arrived in January they only had 6 points, lead them to 12th (they had top 6 form). Then back to back top half finishes. Problem is he never kicked on as a coach, and it's a few years now since ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 14th November) Corberán odds tumble
Ah yes I was looking for the wrong thing, I was looking for a post promotion sacking which was pre season. So sacking Farke last summer would have been unprecedented. As for your comments about clubs needing to be ruthless, there are degrees, Some clubs cut staff during covid for example I'm happy ...

Re: Farke in or out poll (poll reset)
Former Mainz manager Bo Svensson has gone from nowhere on the list to favourite . . . . . . Could of course just be people putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. The two current favourites were both heavily linked with the Rangers job (Svensson apparently rejected it) and talks stalled with Marco ...

Re: Who's going down ?
Wolves then not sure. Burnley have already played Man City, Liverpool, Villa, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manure and Sunderland Everyone but Chelsea from the current top 8 We've still got 6 of those compared to them having 1 So if Burnley are in trouble so are we (puts into perspective the flaw in this ...

Re: How disappointed/angry are you with the 49ers? - Poll of the Day (14th Nov)
I don't know if it's annoyance or disappointment but they portrayed themselves as this slick outfit. To me they come across a bit amateur. Everything done on a wing and a prayer. Jobs given not to the best person they can find just the next man up. Medical executives, academy coaches, tech guys, NFL ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 14th November) Corberán odds tumble
As someone who loves precedents have you any case studies of any club who did sack their manager after promotion and who then when on to have a good following season? If my memory serves Maresca left Leicester City after promotion and they have sank like a lead balloon ever since. Yes Watford 13th ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 14th November) Corberán odds tumble
We can kid ourselves all day about who we’d want as manager but there’s a good possibility we could be in the relegation places after our next 5 games, what manager would risk his reputation by getting dragged into a relegation fight with very little funds available in January ? Thats why DF should ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 14th November) Corberán odds tumble
Would be 5th on my list assuming it'd need hell to freeze over to get Xavi, he's going to get a much bigger job when he puts himself back on the market I love Xavi as a player. I'd have him in our midfield even now DF would have an aneurysm though, that passing forward stuff would fry his brain ...

Said he doesn't know.
But you'd guess so
Hard to imagine our crack leadership team having more boxes to tick than.
Worked here before
Or
Worked in the Championship before
Or
Worked in the Premier League before.
Rodgers and Corberan tick two of those, what more do you need.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 14th November) Corberán odds tumble
Of those 3 Marco Rose by quite a distance. People shouldn't get too hung up on the Red Bull stuff. Most German managers of the last 20 years are influenced by them. He got RB Salzburg to the Europa League Semi final (beating Borussia Dortmund). He got RB Leipzig to the last 16 of the Champions ...

He's one of 2 names the waccoe itk guy says they are thinking about.
Said the owners are dithering but they've approached CC and one other name.
Given how unimaginative our owners are our own former academy coach fits the bill

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 13th November) Farke has nothing to lose - he must go for broke
I think a big problem is against Everton there was a noticeable and welcome evolution of our style of play. We played a larger amount of long passes and our area of possession was almost 50% the opposition half (48-49%) We also had 17 shots. It was a nice and necessary change and imo had showed an ...
