Definitely an argument for filling your squad with "grizzled championship bastards"The Subhuman wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 8:37 am But we knew they were internationals... It's what comes of buying Japanese/American players that are good and leaving your squad extremely thin in the process.

Re: Pre Sheffield United match chat
As the game has been moved forward a day I'm not in agreement regarding we knew they were internationals etc, plus we should be lobbying the EFL to bring in a rule change for Championship clubs who have players on international duty. Do the PL have any Friday night games immediately after the ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 15th October) Can Leeds afford to wait until January
Had Bielsa still been here then I think he'd have bought CC along, he certainly rated him.. but alas he went and the rest is history. I feel like there ware a lot of false assumptions about Cresswell, from people that never saw him play. You, obviously watched him a lot. The main one is that he's ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 15th October) Can Leeds afford to wait until January
Diogo Monteiro has just had shoulder surgery, but he was supposed to be the next big thing. Do we know anything about him? Had promise when we first signed him. But never managed to establish himself. Not even in the under 21's. He was behind guys like Moore and Mullen last season. This season ...

Cresswell was a succesful loanee as was Drameh ...very successful. I think Roca and Koch also, that's 4. Kristiansen is this year, that's 5. Even Llorente did well in Italy.... Gelhardt had a successful loan deal at Sunderland Greenwood was excellent through half a season for Boro Was going to say ...

Re: We need to bring in free agents now
That's a matter of opinion and the most we can say is Farke didn't use them. Cresswell and Joseph were quality, Anthony is a starter this season for a rival, we know Roberts is good and should have had much more game time. Byram, Darlow, Piroe, (assuming Paddy was the 9 if fit) James made for a ...

I think what I heard was from the Bulgarian manager. He may have said 5 months. But the assumption was that he probably wouldn't reach match fitness before the end of the season.

A short term emergency signing. It seems ideal for the position we're in. Reports this week have been that Gruev probably won't play again this season.mentalcase wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 2:49 pm Only 34, can't we dig someone a little older up, or see what forshaw is doing !!

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 14th October) Kouyate - medical passed and training with Leeds
Didn't think players were recallable if they were getting game time... We do need a DMF/CB hybrid, beggars can't be choosers so hopefully this can work out with Kouyate I think they're talking about January for the Gyabi recall. Terms vary. It depends what was written in the contract. It could be ...

The internationals & fatigue ruin us. Mainly full appearances Leeds - 9 players made 40+ appearances 54 Ampadu 52 Gray 51 Rodon 51 Rutter 50 Meslier 49 Summerville Southampton - the only 6 that made 40+ appearances 47 Armstrong 46 Walker-Peters 45 Harwood-Bellis 44 Bednarek 41 Bazuni 40 Smallbone ...

Sara left, wasn't banned. Maybe didn't make that clear Victor, I apologise if I didn't. But she felt she had no choice. For me one of the best posters here not least as we had similar music likes and dislikes. She also helped me with through mental health issues which I will be eternally grateful ...

Amazing partnership knock from the Yorkshire pair. If Joe Root beats Tendulkar's all time record will that make him the greatest ever Yorkshire man? Didn't they make Tendulkar an honoury Yorkshireman that year he played with us? We'll claim him as a Yorkshireman until Rooty knocks him off the top ...

Re: Why is the club allowing so many players to play for their countries this week?
I see Kane & Grealish are conveniently unavailable for tonight's game vs Greece. Does anyone really care about the Nations League? I feel like managers should just be using these games to experiment. Not throw away caps. But definitely use them to be trying out new players. If Kane played ...

The stats confirm something we've all noticed. We're wasteful in front of goal. And we concede too easily.
Apart from that we'd be flying high atop the table.

Brook finally out for 317 in 322 ball, with England declaring on 823 for 7 Pakistan collapse to 47 for 4 in their 2nd innings. This match looked destined for a draw, not any more! I had to go to bed at lunch. Looks like a cracking day for England, Yorkshire, and Harry Brook. Will catch the ...

Wasn't it sunderland v liverpool when the ball hit a beach ball and diverted the ball into the net. That looks like a head torch to me, if it was thrown on the pitch then they ought to be docked points. That was the game Obviously no VAR back then. Wondering if the beach ball should have stopped ...
