The Centenary Gala

Just watched the 7 minute footage of the centenary gala.
Great to see the some of the players I worshipped in days gone by.
Great to see Vinnie there after his recent sad loss.
Didn't see Mark Viduka- was he there?

Re: Leeds Utd v Birmingham City Match Thread

Hopefully Pablo played for the first 30 minutes of our U23's match today in preparation for tomorrow The rest of the troops in our injury prone squad are still staggering around it seems It like a war-zone at Leeds United :( Ironically for Forshaw when he was playing the best he has ever played for...

I reckon he'll be on the bench tomorrow was he was at Millwall with Pablo replacing Robbie Gotts
Would Gotts not have played today if not needed tomorrow?

Re: Elland Road Expansion?

It's about time. Occasional visitors to ER like myself can't get a ticket for love nor money these days.
Definitely gonna try and get up there this season though. I can't even get to see them at Ipswich this season although after last season's debacle I said I would never go there again.

Re: KARAOKE

In 1996 me and my brother and a mate were on holiday in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife and we went into a club that was doing Karaoke with a compere introducing the singer's and everything. We met some girls from Wolverhampton and as we got more and more pissed my mate decided we should try and do a so...

Lucas Jutkiewicz is their danger man up front, very powerful in the air.
However I fancy us to sneak a 2-1 win

Re: Escape To The Perfect Town

I have stayed in South Herefordshire a couple of times in recent years and been to Abergavenny and it seemed okay. It was only a brief stop on the way to the Brecon Beacons which are lovely by the way. On the way back we skirted Merthyr Tydfil and that looked a right s**t hole. Apologies to our Wels...

Re: I fell in love with Leeds United last year

Welcome Emma, there are a few Leeds United forums but this by far the best one.
Tempers do get a bit frayed sometimes but it's only because we all love the club.
I hope you get tickets for the Preston game.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 16th October)

Morning All You have Cooper in your starting XI EB1. Surely he is still injured, the prognosis was six weeks? Hard to actually pick a team because we don't know if the likes of Hernandez and Forshaw will be available. Assuming they are I would probably go with: Casilla Dallas White Beradi Davis Hern...

Re: Harry Potter

If you like Harry Potter the making of Harry Potter at Warner Brothers studio in Watford is well worth a visit. I've taken my daughter twice, the first time about 5 years ago and again this year. They're adding bits to it all the time. The forest and train station had been added since our first visi...

It's been like that down in 'sunny' Suffolk for two weeks now. The rain has hardly stopped. Rain, rain and more effin rain.

Re: Escape To The Perfect Town

I'm planning on being in Leeds for about a week in March and am looking for walks, either in the countryside or in picturesque villages (the sorts of villages Ray Davies wrote about American tourists visiting in Village Green Preservation Society). Out of my week, I will spend one day at Elland Roa...

Re: Eddie Nketiah

All I can say is I would start Eddie over Bamford..but it's not my decision to make but we're playing a 4-6-0 starting 11 atm and that includes two wing backs I agree. You can't fault Bamford's work rate this season but we need end product. We have to know if Eddie can cut it in Bielsa's system. I ...

Re: Bailey Peacock-Farrell

Very poor for the third goal, he just stuck out a leg. Depay should never have scored from there.
It has to be said, he is not a great keeper and I doubt he will ever break into Burnley's side.
The Championship or lower beckons for BPF.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 11th October) Nketiah shows why he should start for Leeds

Morning All, Dear God, that manager list fills me with dread with the exception of Corberan, Arteta and Coleman. The others would just undo all the good that has been done under Bielsa. Nketiah should be given a start soon, we have to know if he can fit into Bielsa's system or not. I think he will o...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 10th October) Leeds look like living on the edge again this season!

[ But, and this is the key point, Bielsa doesn't see this as square pegs in round holes. He demands his players playmultiple positions and if you follow that to it's logical conclusion then he's just playing his best and most experienced 11, however that lines up and the only consideration is fitnes...
