Re: Today's Games

Wednesday's position flatters them, they've been awful. I know it's early days but I really believe we've got the best team in this league by a country mile this season.

You can't expect the keeper to catch/punch every cross cleanly
I would assume this part of his game will improve substantially as the season goes on, and would be covered in training too?

Re: Leeds Utd v Brentford Match Thread

The tone of the revelation doesn't seem to speak of serious injuries but we have Berra, Davis, Dallas, Shack, plenty of talent to ease any short-term niggles. Could be issues that will clear up before the weekend and Bielsa not wanting to risk important players over them. Either way it's nice not to...

Re: Kiko Casilla

It seems to me there is (as is often the case with the accursed social media) a vocal section of the fanbase who will seize on any minor slip to slam Kiko, ignoring the fact that he will likely have made a lot of brilliant saves beforehand - and act like a nervy moment is as bad as letting in 3 or 4...

Re: U23's 2019-20

The scoreline suggested a close game yet as is typical with us, we shut Millwall out for the majority of it but lapses of concentration nearly cost us. That said, some brilliant performances from Kun, Bogusz, Nketiah and Strujik. We always looked like the winners even at 2-2 with 94 gone.

Re: Blades, Villa and Norwich

I hope the Blunts survive just so we can have the pleasure of relegating them ourselves next season.

Re: Jack Harrison

I didn't hide my own frustration with Harrison at the end of last season but the goals/assists return spoke for itself, so I won't say the criticism was unjustified. Though we'd seen scant flashes of his ability it didn't feel like the time for patient nurturing of a precocious talent but rather for...

Re: Leeds Utd v Brentford Match Thread

Brentford still struggling with too many changes right now. Yes they beat Boro but that's hardly impossible with a rookie manager and hugely different style of play to last season. I think that like at Wigan we'll be wondering what all the fuss is about come Thursday. 3-0 Leeds, Nketiah to grab a su...

Unless Charlton stick another away we'll be entering next weekend on top. Let's stay there this time eh?

Fantastic through ball and the sweet finish it deserved. Nketiah to provide some much needed competition for Bamford at this rate, hopefully spurs the latter on.

Re: Salford City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

No team ever goes out to lose so whoever plays will do their best to help the team win. It will be a good test for the reserve players and I'm sure they'll want to put in a good performance in the hope it will push them closer to first team selection. Looking forward to it and i think it'll be a cr...

Re: Salford City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Those who knock Radrizanni and Orta should take a look at how strong our side looks (on paper) even if the starting XI from the two league games are rested. Contrast that to Monk picking lads who had barely scraped into the reserves but even our reserves then were woeful. People, perhaps rightly, h...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 12th Aug) All the up to date news from Elland Road - with opinions from you, the fan

That's the key Moth, a winning mentality & maintain a unbeaten run. Also we mustn't lose to the also-rans this season, we need to be ruthless & show our quality in every game Every game is a bit of a pipe dream mate. Personally, I was bracing myself for a slower start to the season than we've had a...

We played really well but luck was with the visitors. Only second game of the season so we're nowhere near the finger-pointing stage yet. If this result becomes part of a long unbeaten run nobody will remember the dropped points.
