As for Yorkshire negativity, I'm not sure we'll lose that overnight.

Guarantee we will get the top 6 in our first 6 games. But I believe we will beat at least one of them, if not 2.
Agreed. Our lads are pushed abnormally hard during preseason which lets them get off to an explosive start.

Agree with everything that Moth has said plus he does his share of tracking back and defending. Definite starter 8/10
I didn't even think of his defensive game, you're absolutely right. Very hard worker all over.

Re: Player Profile : Jack Harrison

I was a harsh critic of Jack at the end of last season (and not unjustifiably imo) but all the credit in the world to him, he's gone out there and improved on just about every aspect of his game. If his shooting had the benefit of an inch either way, the insane number of times he's hit the woodwork ...

Re: Charlie Allen

I wish there was a bit more activity concentrated on new signings for the Premier League next season. I suppose patience is key! It's a tough market at the moment, the 'Rona has burst the insanity bubble a bit in the transfer market and clubs are either holding onto players for dear life or getting...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 11th August)- Leeds United sign record breaking commercial deal

Indeed we do need to be smart especially as we have spent much of our budget on Costa & Augustin. Sadly I don't think we can afford to splash £25/£30m on Ben White which would be a real shame. We need to have plan B in action quickly as the season will be here before we know it! I have immense fait...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season

Why overspend now when his price tag will drop come January? Liverpool aren't signing him, that just potentially maybe leaves Chelsea and they can only spend if they sell first. I fully admit I'm not coming from a place of pragmatism here, so I'm not going to try and argue the point by any means bu...

Re: Player Profile : Helder Costa

Having rewatched so many matches since lockdown and past the end of the season, I find myself having a bit more of an appreciation for what Costa does. I'd probably have given him a 6 but I've spent a lot of time looking at his movement, his ability to pull defenders out and make space for others an...

Re: Player Profile : Adam Forshaw

I feel bad for this because we've seen a good, capable midfielder in there but I think we can do better. It's not just the injury, I think he will be superseded by the likes of Shackleton soon anyway, so thanks for the good effort Adam but it's time to move on. And I don't relish saying that about a...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season

Leeds need to learn to walk away, rather than getting mugged off by Brighton. £40m for a player refusing to sign a new contract and isn't guaranteed to start? Liverpool aren't interested, as they don't have that kind of money. It's just a ploy from Brighton to make us seem more desperate to overpay...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 10th August) Leeds win race to sign teenage sensation Joe Gelhardt

Good to see any red-hot prospect. Hopefully in a couple of seasons' time all this investment will bear fruit. Not surprised in the slightest to see Bamford up front. Even if we signed the likes of Haaland, they would still have to earn their spot like everyone else, plus whoever we get in will need ...

Biesla is absolutely inspiring and is leaving a legacy. When I read about his level of dedication and meticulous detail it inspires me. Just found that someone has made an biography on Bielsa. Re: Player Profile : Pascal Struijk

After a shaky few minutes against a Barnsley side fighting tooth and nail for survival in a really tough game, he played like he was born to it. Then he impressed throughout against Derby with the full weight of fan expectations on his shoulders because, let's face it, no one really wanted to lose t...

Definitely retain him and hope he continues to develop. Hard to really judge him yet but did okay in the minutes he played. Rating: 7 Can't believe people knocking Bielsa for not playing more youth players. He was hired to get us promoted not to simply play as many young players as he could. We flo...

I've actually seen bits of Stuttgart and Gonzalez thanks to a good German friend who supports them. He looks a really good striker and that goal tally come in spite of service that would make League One players look like Iniesta (her words, not mine). An upgrade on Bamford with bags of potential for...

Batshuayi Wouldnt be a bad shout for a reasonable price. Prem strike rate of goal every 120mins, Europa league every 172, Champions league every 137mins. Did well on loan at Dortmund, 7 goals in 1p games. Belgium arent a bad sideat all and he has 16 goals in 29 caps. Knows MB from Marseille, still ...

With dear Paddy & goal shy Jack on the end of them :( I think Jack will be just fine. There was a such a marked improvement between his first season and second, and I think he'll keep going on an upward trajectory. Considering how many times he hit the woodwork, we're only talking a slight improvem...
