Re: Whisk(e)y

The Bridge is excellent, my favourite too. I also love Walking on Glass & Espedair Street ( for the music lovers) from his early stuff, and Whit and The Crow Road later on. His Culture sci-fi novels were ground-breaking in their day. Loved that he stayed true to his roots, same town same pub, even ...

Re: Whisk(e)y

I'm not really a great whiskey drinker, but following a significant birthday last year I ended up with two bottles of Bushmills Malt (one with a personalised label from the distillery as my sister-in-law lives in Bushmills), an Aberfeldy 12 year old and an intriguing bottle of Jameson Black Barrel,...

Re: Whisk(e)y

Howdy Folks, So it that time again where I retreat to the wilds of the Irish countryside with a couple of books, a bag of peat and a nice bottle of the Malt. (and the missus of course) So any suggestions on what could accompany me? Last year I took the Aberfeldy which although disappeared quickly en...

Re: Diego Llorente- Deal Close (RUMOUR)

Coops place in jeopardy soon I'm excited by this possible signing and really hope we can bring him in. 1. Think it is good that we have players fighting for their place. 2. Being able to start a match with 3 proper CBs in a 3-3-3-1 line-up with cover on the bench as well. 3. He can play RB, as afte...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 22nd September) - Leeds launch bids for Erick Pulgar and Dan James

Morning folk, perhaps by January when Brighton will either have to buy in to fight relegation and we are top half, they will see the error of their ways.

James im ok about.

Never heard of Pulgar.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 21st September) - Orta frustration at Bielsa not using £50m war chest

If MB thinks we have enough players already then that would suit me, but he did hint last week that there was more to come in, but the fact that Leeds were borrowing the money didn't sit well with me. too much history there. Saying that If James were prepared to come to Elland Road I think he would ...

Re: Leeds United v Fulham FC - MATCH THREAD - Cooper & Rodrigo in for Struijk & Hernandez

Always felt we would struggle against their two DFMs and so it proved, time and again they regained possession when we tried to run instead of pass through them.
