:(

Wasnt asking for much.

3 first 11 quality signings would have done.

A left back
left winger
centre midfielder.

But seems that wont be happening.
Very disappointing if that's the case. Still hoping, but maybe that's forlorn hope :duno:

Re: Sports Newsflash

South Africa v British & Irish Lions kicking off at 5pm UK time, if anyone's interested.

I watched bits of the warm up matches, but it's just not the same with no fans attending.

Still gonna watch it though and cheer the Lions on :)

Re: Sports Newsflash

What a great post Riot :) Some very good points well put Cheers Swannie, I believe all the sports like cricket, tennis, golf, snooker, etc, that are now not mainstream, need to morph to gather the attention of the younger generations. I count myself as lucky not to have grown up in this digital age.

Apparently he turned us down a few weeks ago and he turned us down last year too. Plus he looks like a right Tory.

Re: Sports Newsflash

And it's a big yes from me :) A bit of fun with a cricket bat and ball....what's wrong with that and watching ones fave players. I for one love a test match, my fave format of the game. But I can also enjoy other formats when no test matches are available. Each to their own though I'm fully in agre...

Re: Conor Gallagher- RUMOUR

Finish top 10 in the Prem and get a points total that hasnt been matched for 20 years To improve our squad we get a bit part player who didn't impress at the relegated side he played for last season and pay for the privilege of borrowing him? Nah its a proper Sheffield United/WBA/Norwich yoyo club ...

Re: Conor Gallagher- RUMOUR

Still not keep on developing a Chelsea player in a position we can get cover for. While we benefitted from White in that he was a key player in our promotion push I wonder how much of that 50M fee Brighton pocketed was down to the year he was with us. Now if this rumour is true we are in danger of ...

Re: Scum/Manure Thread

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has signed a new deal until 2024. What wonderful news. They will win matches just because they have spent a ton on players and talent. Fortunately Ole lacks the talent to make the final jump to winning trophies. Excellent Great news  Shame Chelsea didn't keep hold of Lamp...

Re: Conor Gallagher- RUMOUR

I'm completely underwhelmed by the idea of a one season loan for Gallagher. Even if it works out and Bielsa turns him into a baller, are we then gonna hang around Chelsea's front gate like a jilted boyfriend, as we did with Ben White and BHA, while Chelsea play hard to get? Ben White helped to get u...

Re: Conor Gallagher- RUMOUR

Koopmeiners would be good but it seems we arent in for him. Kvaratskhelia gone cold to, all links seem to point to Lang, Kent and Dan James. None particularly mouth watering. Agree on the 30s point, we have quite a few in their 30s now and last thing you want is a Palace situation. Agree on Gallagh...

Nandez, Pereira, Cunha, erm, no, tell you what, we'll go with the legend that is Conor Gallagher :? He went to WBA last season for game time, and that worked out really well under the dinosaurship of Big Sam  Imagine he'd prefer to stay in London, as Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace are ...

Everything I've heard of this young chap suggests we've got a future worldie on our hands. Of course it can all go wrong but no one can doubt our ambition and draw in securing top talent. Maybe this is the way to go? Otherwise you're forking out a fortune for the likes of Maguire, Pogba, Werner, Ha...

Re: Lewis Bate

Looks a real talent does Master Bate ;-) Orta and co have done amazingly well to secure his services. Makes you wonder what the long term plan is at Chelsea? :duno: Flogging off young English talent for a few squid and lashing out hundreds of millions on Werner, Havertz, et al :? Some of these clubs...

Re: Is the Prem going to be a 4 horse race this year ?...

The dark horse is Leeds United :) With a proper manager at the helm Chelsea are favourites for me. Citeh won't be far off. With Ole at the wheel Scum won't be winning out, so long may that continue. Liverpool, depends on when they get VVD and TAA back. But they've gone off the boil. Leicester will c...

Yep, you should always recognize and respect our past achievements. But if you sit on your laurels, time waits for no one, and you get left behind, as we're unfortunately all very familiar with.
