Re: Cheer Up Frank Lampard

I've had this one circled since the schedule came out. Lampard is a whiny, entitled, self-absorbed little w@nker. It would give me no shortage of satisfaction to win this one convincingly. That said, I'm not feeling overly optimistic.

Re: Today's Games

Yep. Still can't understand how three defenders left Fernandes unmarked in the box on the first.

Completely agree. Find he's a liability in open play, but you can't argue with his results with a dead ball.

Heh, heh... Scum down two already. I've quite enjoyed the Southampton games I've seen this year, but this one is especially tasty so far.

Re: The Leeds United Weekend Brunch Thread - POST MATCH DEBATE

Would have liked to see Rodrigo among the starters or come on earlier. Knowing Bielsa, it'll be this 11 for at least the next two matches barring injury. Five subs would be bad for this version of Leeds. We haven't got great quality beyond the first three on our bench and if opponents could sub five...

Whew! Should have won bigger, but that was a very big win! Very nice three points.

Re: Album of 1999 - NOMINATE NOW

Never a big fan of the 90's, worst decade with any shadow of doubt, redeemed with the emergence of Radiohead 8-) Portishead, PJ Harvey, Fugees/Lauryn Hill, DJ Shadow, Sigur Ros, Cave & REM provided some enjoyment for me, maybe a few others however the 90's weren't great. Cannot agree with this take...

Re: Album of 1989 - Paddy, SG, Westgate to VOTE

I love Dolittle but it's a little more polished and lacks that excitement you got with Surfer Rosa ..From that drum intro to Bone Machine to the 90's best single track in the jaw dropping Gigantic which kicks off the best run of four on any album ..River Euphrates, Where is my Mind and Cactus.... B...

Re: Album of 1989 - Norfolk, Paddy, SG, Westgate to VOTE

Pixies - Surfer Rosa knocks Dolittle into a cocked hat Oh, I don't know about that faaip. Surfer is definitely a more accessible record and the quality throughout is better, but there is a lot fluff on it. Clunkers all over Dolittle to be sure but the high points are higher imo. I think it depends ...

Bravo to the new recruits. I'm not on here consistently enough to volunteer, and even if I were, not sure I would undertake what is a largely thankless but essential task. So thanks you three.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 19th November) Philips has a chance of playing on Sunday

NOT shoving Bielsa out the door to sign Gerrard... talk about cutting off you nose to spite your face. So nice to get positive news on the injury front. If Forshaw really does return to form he could be a factor this season if Phillips' return from injury doesn't go smoothly. Like your 11 64 but I w...
