Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds United - Post Match Chat

I am pleased to see Bamford back scoring again. He was out a long time with a persistent injury that just would not mend.
More tap ins please, Patrick!

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds Utd Match Thread

It would be great if we could get a convincing victory tonight.
Then we can see how Ipswich and Leicester cope under pressure.

Re: Chelsea v Leeds Utd Match Thread

I just hope it is all settled in 90 mins, either way.
Losing on penalties after an energy-sapping 120 mins would be the worst outcome.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 22nd February) - Opta Predict Automatic Promotion for Leeds

It's a bit early for predictions. We could be in 4th position if we lose tomorrow and Saints and Ipswich win.

Jesse wasn't all bad. There were some good days.
He did beat Liverpool at Anfield. He can put that on his CV.

Re: Leicester pre game chat

This is a crucial game in our season.
Especially if Ipswich and Saints win their games in hand in midweek. We will then be in 3rd place, with Ipswich breathing down our necks.

Re: Plymouth Argyle v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Saints and Ipswich are still very much involved in the promotion race.
Hopefully the team can get 3 points, then take a breather before the Leicester game.

Re: Patrick Bamford

A fit Bamford for the second half of the season is a definite plus.
And if he discovers his old goal-scoring form, who knows where we might end up.

Re: World Darts Tournie

Can't believe Luke Littler is only 16.
He's already got the darts player look: a beer gut and a scruffy beard. And when he wins he celebrates with a kebab.
He'll fit right in with Jackpot and the others.

Time for Leeds to hand out a thrashing and give the rest of the division something to think about.

Re: Anyone else losing the faith

We need to win the 6-pointer against the Tractor Boys and follow that up with some good results over the busy Xmas/New Year period. Put some pressure on the top two.

Re: Best Original Guiitar Solo

Some great solos on the early Steely Dan records, before they went too jazzy: "Reeling in the Years", "Ricki Don't Lose That Number", "Kid Charlemagne"

Our Wales players have had two intense games, battling to qualify for the Euros.
Not ideal.

Re: Leeds vs Leicester positives and negatives

Positive: Superb result, will boost the morale of the team and the manager.
Negative: Still not made much of a dent in the race for automatic promotion. We need Ipswich to self-combust.

Burnley stormed the Championship last season. Now they are relegation fodder.
Just shows the massive gulf between Championship and Premier League.

Sticky Fingers, or any other album from the Mick Taylor era. His guitar playing was sublime.
Their last decent album was Steel Wheels, over 30 years ago.

Re: England Cricket 2023

It was an entertaining series, but in the final analysis Australia quickly went to 2-0 up against BazBall. Then they just needed a draw somewhere.
It will be interesting to see how England fare when they next play in Australia conditions, where the Aussie bowlers have a distinct advantage.
