Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 8th November) Is it time to cut ties with Bamford

I wouldn’t mind seeing Bamford go now, he’s so unreliable these days (he always has been, in truth) with injuries, missed penalties and missed chances. Unfortunately, unless he himself is prepared to take a probably large pay cut, it won’t happen because he’s simply not value for his wage. Like Ken,...

Re: Remembrance Sunday

Written by a Scots/Aussie singer/songwriter called Eric Bogle, the lyrics have been eroded a bit by the Fureys and others over time but this version is very close to the original. He also penned "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" as covered by the Pogues, two of the most poignant anti...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 7th November) Millwall could make approach for Cresswell

I’m bemused by Farke’s reluctance to give Cresswell a chance to prove himself, and to not even have him on the bench is, more or less, forcing him to push for a transfer. We have no option than to trust Farke’s judgement on this, but, in my opinion, it would be a shame to lose a young player, who’s ...

Re: Opposition fans thoughts on Leeds - Foxes Talk

I totally agree with you Cjay. On our day and with our best players in the team, we are probably the best in the league and have proved as much with wins over the top two, away from home at that. The difference has been our problematic start, our slightly erratic form when not playing our very best ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 6th November) Leeds close gap on top two after thrilling win

We gained 3pts on Leicester (effectively 6, as had they won they would have been 17pts ahead) and 2pts on Ipswich last weekend, which is good. If we can keep up the pressure like that for the next couple of months we’ll be back in touch with the top two and, having beaten them both away from home, w...

Re: Rate the ref: Leicester V United 03/11/23

There was just one incident that annoyed me last night which was when, after a blatant fowl against Ampadu (I think), he allowed advantage because we still had the ball, but that advantage only lasted for about half a second, because they nicked the ball immediately, and he failed to blow up for the...

No taken but imo he crosses the line between raising taking points which are worth a spin and deliberately stirring the s**t pot. When that happens I have every right to respond. As for today what is wrong with asking him to name his source? Is that unreasonable? Remember the opening line every day...

Re: Leicester v Leeds - Player Ratings

I managed to catch the whole match last night without interruption and what a match. Meslier 7: didn’t have an awful lot to do and threatens to get himself into a bit of a pickle, occasionally, with the ball at his feet. But stayed focused to the end and made his one save of the game brilliantly and...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 3rd November) Leeds slap £30m asking price on loan star

Once again, I feel compelled to step in and defend EB and his breakfast debate. I’m sure EB is well able to speak up for himself but I’ll just give my twopennorth anyway. Ian (and others) if you think EB’s efforts are not up to scratch, if you think you can do better at creating daily talking points...

Re: Supporter Advisory Board Meeting Minutes

Thank you for posting ATPA. But I must admit that, whilst background information on anything Leeds United related should be of interest to me, these are particularly humdrum and banal. I’m sure a Supporters Advisory Group is a good idea in principle and the members are well intentioned, but I now kn...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 3rd November) Leeds slap £30m asking price on loan star

Gnonto has not been at his best this season, Farke has seen that and has, therefore, not been giving him much game time. I don’t know the reason for his dip in form but I suspect it must have something to do with him still being unsettled. When the club passed on the chance to sell him over the Summ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 2nd November) Trio should be fit for crunch game

I am bemused as to why Cresswell is not being given a chance - not even making the bench. He acquitted himself pretty well on loan at Millwall in the Championship last season, and looked super promising for the under 21s before that. Has his progress stagnated since then? It can happen, I suppose, a...

Re: Sinisterra Watching On!!!

I think we’ve moved on from the likes of Sinisterra and his fellow rats and are the better for it. Had he and, for example, Aaronson stayed, then we probably wouldn’t have been able to witness the blossoming of Summerville and Rutter who, in each case in my opinion, are far better and more exciting ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 1st November) Trio named in Championship team of the week

It seems that every two bit punter and his dog are assuming that any other club can come in and steal our best players with impunity. That Leeds United are just a run of the mill English League Club, without much ambition, and who are happy to see their best players plundered for any kind of remuner...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 31st October) Leeds pursuit of damages against Everton in vein

According to Jordan, the punishment for breaking Financial Fair Play rules are clearly set out, thus agreed to by all clubs; this doesn't include clubs taking the law into their own hands to recoup lost revenue. This is correct, I suppose, and any pursuit of damages, I’m sure, will be in vain. But i...

What twaddle does Dennis Bergcamp write?

I confess I’ve not read anything he’s ever written, but I bet it’s nowhere near as crap as the twaddle you come out with!

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 30th October) Flying Dutchman on fire as Whites destroy Terriers

The statistics regarding team age, number of assists and shots would confirm that we are one of the better sides in this division, as you would expect from a newly relegated side. But considering all the upheaval coming into the season, and during the start of the season, I think we can be happy wit...

Re: Rate the ref: United V Huddersfield 28/10/23

Didn’t see anything to suggest he had a bias against us, which is a novelty, and correctly booked 4 of theirs justifiably. Would have been harsh to have sent Hogg off although I’ve seen it happen for less. Overall pretty good 7/10.
