Re: The Big Occasion

The gypsy curse and bent referees certainly, but I would add the whole Football Establishment who control the game and the Main Stream Media are also very culpable.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 6th June) 49ers takeover expected this week

Parasite = a person who habitually relies on or exploits others and gives nothing in return. Could be a reasonable description of Radrizzani. Certainly he’s proved to be no more than a chancer, an opportunist, who bought Leeds United, with all its potential, very cheaply and very nearly managed to b...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 6th June) 49ers takeover expected this week

I can’t be bothered to read up on the takeover - life’s too short! But presumably the reported £170m figure is the valuation for the whole club and therefore, as the 49ers already own 44% of the shares (I think!), they would pay 56% of the £170m. Also £170m sounds an awful lot for a Championship clu...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 6th June) 49ers takeover expected this week

49ers takeover this week - at least we can now start to move on and prepare for the coming season, still tons and tons to do before we’re anything like ready! I’ve always liked Luke, not the player he was due to his age now but worth keeping for his experience, I would suggest. Why does anyone think...

Jon Dahl Tomasson anyone? I read he is being linked - can’t remember where! Only just missed out on the play offs with Blackburn and playing some attractive football by all accounts.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 5th June) Leeds no closer to appointing next Manager

“Leeds no closer to appointing next manager”. How can we be, who is going to make that decision? With an owner who’s not particularly interested, and prospective owners who, due to their silence, seem to have lost interest too, and no Director of Football in place, I repeat, who is going to make the...

Re: Anthony Taylor

I wonder what will happen regarding the Roma fans, will UEFA take any action there? Once again it begs the question as to what the punishment would be if it had been Leeds United fans abusing a referee, the first 4 matches next season to be played behind close doors, at least.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 2nd June) Allardyce set to depart after telling Kinnear home truths

Nothing to do with his less than inspired management over the 4 games, of course, but Allardyce has informed Kinnear of his great discovery - that the team isn’t good enough! Surprise, surprise - I think most of us fans could have told him that after the first month of the season. I am liking the sh...

Re: How long before the club returns to the premier league

An immediate return to the Premier League looks like pie in the sky from where we are currently. Two months from the new season and we have a team full of players shot of confidence, a lot of whom have been found out to be not good enough anyway but are too expensive to move on. Those that are good ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 1st June) Cooper wants to stay but do Leeds want him

Could we afford to take a loss on Rutter tho? If a club were to offer 20m?? I know its a big loss, but it's the same amount Borisia Dortmund paid for Erling Haaland three years ago He's a 21yo that has some talent. Our expectation levels are high, ONLY because of his price tag. I don’t think any cl...

Re: Radrizzani

You couldn’t make it up could you? The assets of Leeds United being mortgaged in an effort to save a failing Italian club! I couldn’t imagine any “assistance” of this kind from an Italian club when we were threatened with oblivion. Alienation from the fan base is now complete and I don’t suppose he ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 1st June) Cooper wants to stay but do Leeds want him

The Championship will suit Liam Cooper. Although his age is a consideration, I’d keep him anyway for his experience and maybe eventually, as someone has already suggested, make him part of the coaching set up. You can’t doubt or fault his commitment to this club. The only way Bamford will leave is i...

Re: Radrizzani

So, with Radz’s statement the plot thickens! I’ve always said that there is never a dull moment supporting this club, nothing is ever straightforward, we are very rarely on an even keel. The statement contained an apology and an admission that mistakes had been made (no s**t Sherlock), so perhaps he...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 31st May) Andrea Radrizzani completes Sampdoria takeover

For Gerard’s odds to have been slashed from 16/1 to 2/1 someone must know something! I think we should have got rid of Marsch earlier than we did. The shattered confidence of the players had really set in by the time he was sacked and there was no coming back from that, certainly Gracia and Big Sam ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 30th May) Should the fans have turned on the players sooner

I'm not saying it made sense for us to spend the money on him but that from a financial sense of view for the 49ers it made sense to complete te del prior to a takeover than them having to stump up the cash for the deal after doing the takeover. Yes and I’m saying that the target date of the buyout...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 30th May) Should the fans have turned on the players sooner

It makes complete sense for the 49ers to insist on the transfer fee being paid in January. As such the money going out is in the accounts. If it didn't happen then the 49ers would have had to pay it all after taking over the club (if it was a loan to obligation to buy deal). Otherwise they would ha...

Re: The Future.

I think Cellino would have stayed longer but knew he was fighting a losing battle against the EFL who seemed determined to declare him as an unfit owner. His ban, by the EFL, due to his tax irregularites was ridiculous given the difference in Italian Law to ours and I think he just got to the point...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 30th May) Should the fans have turned on the players sooner

The rumours that they didn’t want to sell Harrison for £20m and wanted to buy Rutter for £30m, rather than loan him with an option, suggests that the 49ers knowledge of how to trade successfully in the English football circus might be as questionable as that of the Radrizzani/Orta combo, which is ki...

Re: The Future.

The club is in limbo at the moment for sure. We are back to square one (The Championship) and with an owner who has seemingly lost interest and wants to be away, but is trying to do business with prospective owners who seemingly can’t agree a mutually acceptable deal. There is a lot of work to do be...
