This can’t be right as I remember they beat England 2-1 in the last World Cup semi final. Don’t know about the rest of it.

I’m sorry to hear about your husband Heidi, hope he pulls through. I’m sure the memorial will be a great attraction when it comes to fruition.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 9th December) - Klich thunderbolt seals Leeds win and Festa d’Elx trophy

We play Citeh on boxing day, yesterday was the 8th i think, proper prep that is  I've said it once and al say it again, meaningless :roflmao: Meaningless! We won a (European) trophy didn’t we? It’s not every day you do that is it? In our case it’s a trophy probably once every decade or so, and...

I’m not sure we’d miss Meslier against Citeh as much as we’d miss Adams. Robles seems a very competent and reliable replacement, from what we’ve seen on a par with young Ilan - I wish I could say the same about Forshaw!

Re: Leeds v Elche friendly - Live on YouTube. 7.15pm

We were very second best in the first half, picked up a bit in the second, when Klich was on, to just about match them but still not noticeably the better team in my opinion. But for Klich’s worldy it would have ended in a tame draw I think. Oh well a win’s a win I suppose and a trophy to boot (a tr...

Is this a private conversation or can anyone join in? If so, I’d just like to point out that Valencia is in Turkey actually.

He’s Ecuadorean but plays for Fenerbahce!

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 8th December) - Gakpo: I had doubts about joining Leeds

I always thought it was Gakpo himself who didn’t fancy the move to Leeds. Oh well, onwards and upwards? I’m not surprised Orta is on good terms with Leipzig. Anyone who’s mug enough to part with a cool £21m for a dud like JKA would be welcomed by any club. The under 21s need to get back to the big b...

Thank you for posting that Heidi. It has been posted previously (back in October by Bremner2022) but didn’t seem to garner much comment at the time. Below was my reaction to it then. Thank you for posting the above Bremner2022, a great watch and a great read. I love to remember and reminisce about m...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 7th December) Is Firpo the victim of a smear campaign

Firpo has not really had a consistent run of games but you can only go on what we’ve seen so far and what we’ve seen so far isn’t at all promising. The difference this time is that we have a game in hand over our rivals - that only means something if you don’t lose it of course! No doubt we are are ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 6th December) Injury and illness rocks Leeds training camp

I thought Bamford’s ongoing injury problems were to do with his knees or his feet or something that had to be managed rather than be simply cured. If it’s (only) a hernia then that should be easily recovered from and we could see him back to his old self in no time. I still believe there is more to ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 5th December) Bamford undergoes surgery

Like most other fans I feel sorry for Bamford and like most other fans I don’t think he’ll come back from this latest set back, not back to the required level anyway. Notwithstanding that I still think there are greater priorities elsewhere on the pitch for new players, rather than a striker. The fa...

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022. England v Senegal

I hate to say it (I really do) but you were right Ken. We won at a canter - could have been a goal or two down before we scored like, but for the most part, we were extremely comfortable. Unusually I was able to watch with complete serenity after the 1st goal went in. All in all a consummate perform...

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022. Netherlands v USA. 3pm

Good game that. USA gave a good account of themselves in the 2nd half with Adams showing his usual belligerence and non-stop style, winning the ball and then a simple pass on. Aaronson was good when he came on, I’m surprised he doesn’t start. But the Dutch were definitely the more canny, clinical an...

We should be stuffing Senegal, the Dutch beat them 2-0 at ease , Senegal now have 3 injured players that would normally start ,and the Dutch have nowt special after Van Dick and a couple of others that hardly play for top clubs. You've got your wish Paul !! The Ferrari is starting, start your engin...

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022. Cameroon v Brazil + Serbia v Switzerland

It's the arrogance of the fans, the media and the players that makes it hard to route for England. The last time I enjoyed England playing was Euro 2004. Greece have won more in my lifetime than England, so we're not this superpower the media thinks we are. I thought the Nations League humbling wou...

Not particularly impressed with Lukic last night - wasn’t involved enough for me. Embolo the best player on the park with Tadic the pick of the Serbs.

Wasn’t Embolo off side? Nobody mentioned it but he looked offside when the pass (which went forward) came in from the right hand side.

Cheers Elland. Not sure what to make of the “best of” videos no player ever looks poor in them. As it happens he’ll be playing against Switzerland shortly - might just have a ganders.
