Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 18th January) - No truth in Nicolas Raskin rumour

Burnley are already planning for league one, why else would a team sell their striker to Newcastle. Pathetic. You can't blame Wood.... i bet he's doubled his wages overnight. Burnley are a poor side time has finally caught up with them i feel. Both form teams in the Championship at different ends of...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 17th January) - Harrison hat-trick destroys Hammers

So a ball hits another one of our players on the goal line unsighted and with him trying his best to get out of the way whilst not impinging on play in any shape or form. You would hope the fourth official would be able to use discretion and assess the situation in a situation like that. Imagine if ...

Re: Marcelo Bielsa

Today was Marcelo Bielsa's 76th win in his 150th league game in charge of Leeds, the most wins by any manager in their first 150 league games in charge of in the club's history.        Can't knock that considering what i thought was a poor side when ...

Re: Novak Djokovic - Deported Again

Great, as J live on Ireland I can tell you what happens here. Because it seems you're making it up. No one in Ireland is supposed to walk around indoor public spaces without a mask, they can expect to be told to leave. If there's an issue, the police here may be called. People who repeatedly refuse...

Re: Novak Djokovic - Deported Again

And how do you judge people with Covid who mix with others and don't even put on a mask? Do you see any selfishness in that? If someone who is HIV positive has sex with people knowing they may infect them, that's a serious crime. Because it's not at all self righteous to condemn people who play fas...

Re: West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Struijk starts, Rodrigo makes the bench

With all the CB now coming to the fore hopefully one day the players may attack a corner ball in the box. :) I counted 3 players unmarked on one corner and they still missed. Fine margins footy isn't it. That goes in at the end and we berate the defending. Brilliant today back to near our best with ...

Re: Your favourite holiday destintions?

I’ve been to Reykjavik twice with my daughter, amazing place - she’s doing an Icelandic language school for a month later this year, and hopes to move there permanently. Downside - 2 lunchtime pizzas between three of us, 2 beers and a coke - £84. First place i drove on the other side of the ...

Re: Novak Djokovic - Deported Again

He is being removed from Australia. Everyone, including the organisers of majors at New York, London and Paris now knows he is unvaccinated (something he did not want to disclose some weeks ago). And that he broke Covid requirements in 2 countries, exposed others to the disease after he tested posi...

Re: Player Ratings v West Ham (a)

Meslier 8: That double save was immense and in that moment so was VAR. Against the bigger dangerous teams i do wish he's risk coming off his line more for corners. He couldn't do any worse than the defenders. Ayling 9: Brilliant Captains performance from Ayling. Snapping in the tackle, using the spa...

Positives. The Leeds i remember from last season. Can we play the Clarets every game.

Negatives. Defending from corners was shocking.

Re: West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Struijk starts, Rodrigo makes the bench

What a game that was. More like us last season and considering we lost two players early on it was a stellar effort from the lads. If wh are tipped for top4 then i know nothing about football. When they are forced to sell Rice in the summer they go back to their normal mid-table obscurity. He is the...

Lets hope the rest of the Majors are not so silly. He deserves his chance to be the best ever. Its only a matter of time. In a way this as been the best publicity he could ever have wished for. Novax who? The best player the world as ever seen if you didn't know.

Off top of mi head. Some quirky places of interest i have been. Iceland. Chamonix. The cable car up to near Mont Blanc was ace. Lake Garda and surrounding Lakes. Breathtaking Bavaria area. Caught me off guard how nice it was. North coast 500. Get the weather and the beaches up in bonny Scotland will...

Re: Your Favourite Scottish Team Now Or In Decades Gone By?

Hearts. When i was a kid my 1984 sticker album contained a Hearts crest in Silver foil and for some reason i was always drawn to it. In Footballing terms you have to say the Lisbon Lions were something special when all the players came from the local area. (i think i read it somewhere)

Re: Novak Djokovic - Deported Again

It will no doubt be his last ever appearance in Australia if they don't allow him to play. Its in the public interest comment is a load of b*llox tho, he just wants to play Tennis like he always has done the only difference being he chose not to have the vaccine. His choice knowing the rules of entr...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 14th January) - Can Leeds afford to wait to strengthen?

Can we afford to wait? I may be wrong but i don't hear the sounds coming out of ER that we are about to splash the cash, and that's what would be needed to get the quality to take us to the next level. Covid, injuries and now the Saudis mean this window was always going to be difficult. It looks lik...
