Re: The Queen- RIP Your Majesty

Condolences to everyone impacted by the death of Queen Elizabeth. It has to be a significant wrench to the country to lose such a giant of the state as she so clearly was. This is an historic moment for the UK, as her likes will probably not be seen again. It speaks volumes of her dedication to her ...

Re: Review of VAR announced by the Premier League

The update now is that the referee’s group has accepted mistakes were made in the Newcastle and West Ham games. Yet again, no mention of Leeds.

Re: Review of VAR announced by the Premier League

I’m beginning to believe the conspiracy theory tbh. “Our player was deemed to have got to the ball first but brought the player down almost simultaneously”. As many times as I watch it it isn’t a pen. Never in a month of Saturdays JFH made an excellent point on the Sky commentary at halftime in the...

I’m not sure myself how to do that John. Plenty on here do. Cjay and ‘64 do it the whole time.

Re: Today's Games

I don’t disagree Boo. I always said stop at goal line technology. VAR needs to go. But it’s for clear & obvious errors and that was one. The Saka incident there is similar to the Bees pen yesterday but guess what... There’s no doubt Arsenal will benefit more than we will with VAR. Brentford’s p...

Re: Today's Games

That’s a blatant push John. And they score straight from it Tierney was right next to that incident and didn’t blow it as a free. Once that happens the goal should stand. Otherwise VAR is refereeing the game and it was never meant to do that. Where will this stop? How far back in time before a goal...

Re: Review of VAR announced by the Premier League

The Arsenal goal can be added to the list now as well. The rule now seems to be who is the biggest club between the 2 playing, and just give the decision to them. And of course always against Leeds - beyond farce!

Review of VAR announced by the Premier League

The Premier League are obviously bowing to considerable media and fan pressure and have ordered a review.

Simple decision required, apply it’s use as it was in the European Championship and in the European Leagues, I.e. minimum use of it.

Re: Positives & Negatives v Brentford (one of each please)

Really not sure how Llorente is actually a footballer? He doesn't even look like one. It’s bad, and usually results in a goal, when a CB makes a really bad mistake. But when you miss a gilt edged chance to recover seconds later, like he had after the Keystone Cops moment with Koch, only to miss the...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Brentford (one of each please)

Positives - some good individual performances ( Sinisterra, Drameh, Adams, Roca)

Negative - Llorente ( about as embarrassing a performance from a CB I’ve seen in the PL) I don’t expect to see him in a Leeds team this side of safety having been achieved this season.

It was clear today that the ref did not want to give the penalty against us, but Darren England on VAR persisted in pushing it - for at least 3 minutes in the refs’ ear.

Re: Brentford v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Post Match Debate

The problem with Llorente is that he was exposed to a through ball against Everton for their goal and now everyone sees he’s at sea under hoof ball attacks as well. His position is untenable as everyone will target him from now on. Everyone here can see that Hjelde at left back and either Struijk or...

Re: Brentford v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Post Match Debate

When is the loan window open until? The club better it’s head out of its arse and fill the key positions that everyone has been shouting about for 2 years now. Crucially, they can trawl the football world for a CB to replace that tool Llorente. It has to be one of the easiest scouting jobs imaginabl...
