Such a pity we missed out on Gvardiol. Top quality defender.

Yep, fine game and a proper professional response from Croatia.

The speed with which they attack has been missing from most of the established European teams so far in this tournament.

Absolute rubbish. I think we dodged a bullet with him. It’s easy see why he can’t get near the Athletic team this season.

Re: Rate the Ref as Spurs get a golden goal via VAR

4 - the persistent poor standard of refereeing in the PL, to the point where it influences results constantly is terrible. That assault on Meslier, the deliberate targeting of Gnonto, the constant accommodation of Kane’s whining as well as his diving is, quite frankly, sickening. Many of these playe...

Re: Wilfried Gnonto

To equate being mistaken for a “posh” English man, or comments about your northern accent, to an old vicious trope alluding to the base threat that black men allegedly posed to white women in the southern US states during the time of slavery would be laughable if it wasn’t so dangerous and deluded. ...

Re: Rodrigo

I will put my hand up here and admit that I wanted Rodrigo off the team for much of last year and early this year, but, at the moment, he’s on fire. What we have needed up front for a long time is a regular goal scorer. Turns out that Rodrigo is the man. Both goals today were absolutely top drawer g...

Re: Wilfried Gnonto

Gnonto was targeted by Spurs today. They set out to rough him up and it rattled him, and they got away with it. He’ll have to develop an edge and the team will have to support one another in these battles. It’s a young team and opponents will try to bully us and we can’t leave it up to Adams to sort...

Positives - Having regular goal scorers

Negatives - the hole at left back being the source of all their goals, yet again!

Re: Joe Gelhardt - What is going on?

Pressure is building on Joffy, and it’s showing. Gaps opening through Bamford’s injuries but other young lads stepping up in what should be his place. The times he’s caught offside are often so unnecessary, but it shows how he’s forcing his play. A loan may be an option but I still think he can do i...

Re: Wolves 1-0 Leeds Utd Match Thread - Post Match Debate

Is Harrison a regular starter? I'd like to think 'no, not any more' after tonights woeful showing! Roble's: I got laughed at for posting 'Should Robles be given a shot in goal? He's a very good goalkeeper. And.... very experienced! No: he's worse than broken: he's crap... Give him a couple of games...

Re: Positives & Negatives (one of each please) v Wolves (cup)

Positives - Robles, and first team experience for the young‘uns .

Negative - lack of any senior support structure on the pitch left them unnecessarily vulnerable. Shows how limited our experienced depth is.

Re: Wolves 1-0 Leeds Utd Match Thread - Post Match Debate

I thought we did fine considering there wasn’t a “regular” first teamer starting, or any cavalry on the bench. Hard to judge some of the younger lads when they don’t have the protection or guidance of senior pros next to them in a game like this. After all Wolves didn’t spare their first team player...

Re: Cherries supporters at Leeds, decent fans. A good watch!

Yes their fans come across a decent bunch, Boo. That happens at all grounds, it takes a few minutes to get to the bar, then a ten minute wait to be served, by the time they have drank a pint & a visit to the loo, many fans miss the first five to ten minutes of the second-half. It peeves me righ...

Re: Southampton Thread - Hasenhuttl sacked

It is amazing that he lasted as long as he did. The Saints fans were well fed up with him for quite a while. This upcoming WC break will see a number of clubs making calls about their managers. All see it as an ideal break to bring in the new face and give them time to “fix” a team, conveniently fol...
