Re: Archie Gray- Is now considered a first team player
Started today ahead of Bate and Shackleton. Would make you think those two might both be going out on loan. I mean if Bate sticks around, it puts Gray about 5th in line. Started ahead of Forshaw, Bate and Shackleton actually. He started ahead of those 3 against Stoke also by reports. Was Roca + Gra...

1533881977287360513 May as well be called Red Bull Leeds  O-uCTVUrguU Highly rated but how many more risks can we afford? What do you mean risk? A €10m release clause is a snip for any half decent young prospect in Europe these days. Hence the number of clubs interested. What striker are y...

Re: Aaronson - yes or No at 30M ish
Not a lover of the highlights reel. I remember lots of people getting pumped by Jay Roy Grot’s highlights. But I like the look of the way the kid runs with the ball. In particular his balance and he also has the ability to play a disguised pass accurately whilst actually on the move. That quite fra...

Re: Summer 2021 squad and transfer discussion.
Is Lewis Bate now a done deal? Seems from what I've read this is a seriously talented kid, 'elite level' being bandied about. Passed medical, announcement Thursday UK time. Described by one journo who covers u/18, u/23 and the England Youth teams as the best #6/#8 to come through the English youth ...

Re: Robin Koch
Genuinely world class.
I think he has the potential to be right up there with Woodgate, Rio, Radabe as one of our best defenders since 1990.
I don't say that lightly.
He is Bielsa's Javi Martinez v.2
If he ever moves, it's going to smash the Rio transfer fee 3-4 x over.

Re: Rodrigo de Paul - RUMOUR
This guy is honestly a massive upgrade on even El Mago.
He'd be one of the best players in the league for any side outside of the top 4.
Just get it done.

Re: Play the kids against Hull?
I think we need to give some of the kids a run. But given the short pre-season and international break, we also probably need to use the opportunity to give Koch and Rodrigo a run also. I wouldn't be surprised if one of Koch/Struijk play the full 90 in this, with the other being laid over for Fulham...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season
Personally think, rather than the fragility in defence, it will have been Pablo's game that spurs Radz and Orta into action. He is playing in the critical creative position and his pass completion and dribbling would of rung alarm bells against a quality press. He's better suited as an impact sub ei...

Re: Player Ratings v Liverpool (a)
Meslier - 6.5 - Probably not as high on him as others. Made some good saves. Some poor distribution at times, partly at fault for the second goal and despite the offside, got genuinely lucky for the disallowed goal when get got caught in no mans land. I think he got caught out of position in the fir...

Re: Rodrigo de Paul - RUMOUR
Agree with a lot of this but that bit in bold isnt entirely true and a bit unfair on PH. Struggled with injuries and consistency with Swansea but had the best minutes to assist ratio in the entire league during his 1st season. In total he had a goal or assist contribution of 1 every other game duri...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season
Make no mistake, De Paul would be our best signing in close to 20 years. He's good enough to start and run the midfield for Juve or Napoli, let alone a newly promoted PL side. Most Juve, Napoli, Inter fans have been imploring their club to sign him this year, as he's close to the best #10 in the Ser...

Re: Edinson Cavani
'64 knows me so well... Yes perfectly serious.... never heard of him..... nor anyone else who is seemingly linked with us...... He's been in the top 3-4 strikers on the planet for well over a decade. He's also a 6"2 meat axe with a well known high work rate. Even at 33, he'd be close to the be...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season
I like the Cavani story. Perfect for Bielsa. Class player, work rate, and 33 is not too old. Free transfer would compensate for the high wages. But a high salary could cause internal problems. I don't think there can be too many problems with his high salary, he's scored over 200 goals in 300 games...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season
Rumour we're looking at Angus Gunn to replace Casilla, that would be a great signing - he is destined to be a top drawer keeper. I wouldn't mind someone like Geronimo Rulli for a year as a bit of a stop gap. Spent the year on loan at Montpellier from Sociedad. Statistically was in the top 2 or 3 ke...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season
I think we need to take into account the state of the finances going forward into the PL - the figures are not that great when you look into them in greater detail. We are probably doing another loan for Harrison, as money will be tight, despite the 100m or so for playing in the PL. - 5m is needed ...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season
They've been talking 50 million for Danny Rose for the past couple of years. His value has probably dropped and we get 10% discount, but he'd still be way out of our budget He's contracted in 20/21 on 60k per week. Another loan could be a legitimate option, especially given he's also turning 31 nex...

Re: Shacks, Struijk and Poveda
I particularly like Struijk. I said in the match thread he reminds me a bit of Jedinak from his Palace days. Only 20 years old, but already physically commanding his areas. Like you said, he's got underrated game sense and IQ, he was intercepting and chopping off plenty of plays. We definitely have ...
