Re: Preston North End v Leeds United Match Day Thread
We've had so many injuries that Farke has taken the unprecedented steps of bringing in an out of contract player, whilst Crew and Debayo have 5 minutes of league time between them. Your desire to see the development of our youth is admirable but please also understand that should further injuries ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 12th December) Pope hints at January exit for Bamford
He does have 4 assists and 2 goals in just 938 Premier League minutes which is a better ratio than Bamford and infact is only slightly worse than Bamford in the Championship. Think people forget how impressive Joffy was. Levels above Joseph, its a real shame he's been criminally mismanaged for ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 12th December) Pope hints at January exit for Bamford
Hopefully bamford gets a run and scores as I keep saying, "law of averages" but when he's come on he dosen't remotely look like scoring so why waste Piroe / Joseph in the vain hope he''ll score 8 on the trot !! May as well give Joffy the chance, he's certainly got age on his side and isn't as ...

Re: Preston pre match chat
It's probably the right time to give Bamford his chance from the start especially as prior to the Derby game Farke did mention how well he'd been training.
Plus he usually scores at Deepdale.

Re: Preston pre match chat
Great pre match analysis from Cjay and much appreciated. This seems to have possible 1-0 away defeat written all over it so really we need Farke to try something different. What that looks like is down to him but personally I'd just like to see us mix our play up far more. So let's go route one ...

Re: Leeds Utd v Middlesbrough Match Thread
Piroe drops deep dragging cbs deeper creating space in behind and gets hammered. . . . . . Yes Piroe does drop deep and the consequence is there's then very little space between the lines. However as you correctly point out the higher defensive line should allow more pitch for wide runners to run ...

Re: Leeds Utd v Middlesbrough Match Thread
One of Mateo two decent lay-off passes out of his seven good moments is not great, minuses - losing possession three times, one poor cross, never won a headed dual & not reacting quick enough in the box for crosses, imo! Six of our players had 20 to 26 good moments, so why should Joseph's rating be ...

Didn't score a couple of goals though so very disappointing to some. Created space for others to play in but guess not everyone can see or appreciate that. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 9:40 pm No very decent game from Joseph , got a 7 from me which is just under good.

Well that's the concern as at the moment FIFA/UEFA can decide the outcome if they so desire.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 9:35 pm If AI is becoming more and more human, I wonder how long it will be before AI starts showing bias, leaning into pressure, or taking back handers

Re: Today's Games
Just seen a CGI image of the ball over the line in the Man City game but why can't they show the actual ball over the line ?
Not saying it wasn't but it would be nice to see it for real as the angles shown so far are inconclusive.

Man City 1-0 down at Juventus.
Looked very tight though as to whether it had crossed the line.

Re: Leeds Utd v Middlesbrough Match Thread
Yes, I have, I've nothing to add to my initial thoughts as I walked out of the ground. My 4/10 on the player ratings thread say it all. Fair enough but one thing that I noticed on the highlights was how deep Boro's centre halves were when Piroe came on and I'm putting that down to Joseph pushing ...
