Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 2nd July) - Steinsson's master stroke?

Don't need to have two holding mids in this division with the quality of player we have... If we were going to be a bottom 6-8 side then I think 2 DMF's is prudent but you won't beat the low block with Gruev and Ampadu playing and Kamara is probably a third Totally agree and Ampedu should watch how...

Re: EURO 2024

Surely last night we witnessed one of the worst managerial performances in the history of the game ?

Pure luck got England through, plus a world class finish from Bellingham in the absolute nick of time but you've got to fancy the Swiss on Saturday.

England 6/5
Switzerland 11/4

Re: Archie Gray- Pushed out by club to Tottenham

You sound very calm, the opposite of me who is raging about all this fiasco. Not sure where this club fits with me any more. Totally get why you're not a happy bunny and not going to disagree with anything you've posted on the subject because as a fan it's soul destoying when our best players are s...

Re: Archie Gray- Pushed out by club to Tottenham

The voice of sanity. It matters not how much money the 49ers, or Red Bull, have. We have such a high amount of liabilty on previous transfers that we have to raise a fair amountjust to avoid points deductions. Sadly that is the reality. A few years ago when we were able to reject the offer from Vil...

Re: EURO 2024

Yea typical of the English spoiling the spectacle, Oliver was rubbish and clueless . VAR has ruined 2 games so far, both officiated by the English  Shouldn't have been given as a penalty and what a terrible way to decide a game of knock out football. As Kasper Scmeichel said there's just no c...

Re: EURO 2024

Big day for England today and expecting Mainoo to come into the starting eleven. Shaw is apparently fit and training so would be nice to see him back playing at some point in the match otherwise what was the point in bringing him. The performance doesn't really matter with getting through to the nex...

Re: Archie Gray- Pushed out by club to Brentford

Archie will be gone in a few days anyway so this is just a delay until another deal is announced.

Also couldn't really care less where he goes but do wish him well as he's Leeds through and through. Bottom line is though no Championship club can turn down £40M and especially for a teenager.

Re: EURO 2024

Reminds me that Roy Hodgson overachieved with Switzerland. Why is that he could overachieve with the Switz and be lousy with better players in England? Maybe because if Switzerland have a poor game and draw 0-0 no one makes anything of it, whereas for England every minute of every game the scrutiny...

Re: Archie Gray- Pushed out by club to Brentford

Don’t think this is lack of money, this is FFP. The FL way more brutal with the punishment than the EPL and could be looking at a lot of points deducted plus a transfer in ban if we fail to comply. CJay right in that promotion was expected last season and despite getting ourselves into position for...

Re: EURO 2024

Bizarrely England still favourites. It’s a very poor standard so wouldn’t be at all surprised by a shock. Like Switzerland for instance Thought the Swiss were excellent today. Well organised and coached to a level where every player understands their role within the team and what's required for the...

Yes they were awful, however England will also find the Swiss a tough nut to crack should they overcome Slovakia tomorrow.

Re: Archie Gray- Pushed out by club to Brentford

Personally I've no issue with the sale of Archie as it's been done early in the window which will allow us to build a decent squad for a big push for promotion.

The club is more important than any player and getting back to the PL next season trumps everything.

Re: EURO 2024

The biggest obstacle it seems to me is the mindset of Gareth Southgate. I feel that he has the tools in his shed to do a very good job but has not shown yet that he knows how to utilise them. As I said previously and recently it all now rests on him finding some sort of inspiration to make the team...

Re: EURO 2024

Would just like to point out that England do not have an easy draw as some pundits seem to keep repeating. What they have is a potentially ever so slightly easier route the final that still contains a probable quarter final against Italy (10th In the World Rankings) and a semi final against Holland ...

Reason being we were promoted and won the league with Kiko in goal so goalkeeper isn't that vital in a dominant team.

At worst two will leave, in which case Meslier can go as well if I were the one making the decision.

Sell Willy and keep the rest.

Soz but that's a more likely outcome than three of those listed above leaving.

Bit harsh on Farke that.

Pretty sure we're going up next season but hey who knows maybe he'll be sacked by November.

Harrogate should cash in and switch it to a bigger stadium.

Is Wembley available that day 8-)

Too soon ?

Not really as 5 points from the group games equates to 77 points over a full Championship season.

Farke managed 90 points :)
