Re: Goals from corners....

Another ten corners produced nothing against Sunderland, however we did score two headed goals, one from a set-piece. Very non-Leeds goals. Our winning goal came from the second phase following a corner but far too often we're risk averse once the initial corner has been cleared with the ball ...

There are currently at least eight Premier League clubs who have never won the top division

Leeds has won the top league three times.
Forest have won the CL twice but still aren't a big club.

Re: Leeds v Sunderland Match Thread

Sunderland played well first half yesterday and deserved their first half lead but after the break they struggled to keep possession and rarely made it out of their own half. They were also quite cynical with their fouls and probably slightly fortunate that the yellow cards were spread around ...

Re: Are Leeds a big club? - Will Leeds stay up?

To answer the Big Club question then I'd say no we're not.

We are just below that level but with the potential to be like Man City are now with the right owners/investment.

Re: Are Leeds a big club? - Will Leeds stay up?

Subject to promotion then yes we will stay up next season.

We'll have to wait and see what the level of investment from the 49ers looks like and also whether it's spent wisely or not but I'm confident the plans are already in place to give us the best possible chance.

Re: Leeds vs Sunderland player ratings

I think for the majority of the game Piroe was tidy. It wasn't spectacular but what he did was done well, he held the ball up, laid it off, some nice touches. When you think of how good Sunderland are on the break that was very important. And when he dropped into the 10 he was creative (most ...

Re: Leeds vs Sunderland player ratings

Piroe's performance last night seems to gave split opinions with score ranging from a low of 6 to high of 8. Personally I scored him low but he did improve after Joseph came on to lead the line.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 18th February) - Promotion finally in sight after late show

Great game last night so had a few pints afterwards to celebrate and then a late night as stayed up to watch most the second half again after getting home. Totally dominant second half without creating much and Sunderland couldn't offer anything going forward as we were relentless in our quest to ...

Re: Who gets relegated?

Forest took a chance when they got promoted, signed 22 players and another 5 on loan so broke the FFP rules getting docked 4 points. Massive gamble that could have easily backfired but it makes you think………… It was the Forest owner who decided to invest heavily in the playing side. Non of this build ...

Re: Who gets relegated?

Gone for Ipswich, Leicester & Southampton but there could still be a twist in the plot yet. We would probably be in the bottom 4 as well but the club would likely have made more signings if promoted and if they were as good as Solomon, Tanaka etc we would have made a good go at staying up ...

The bottom 3 have played 75 matches between then so far this season with 50 collective defeats.

Next season will be very different to this one should we be promoted.

Yeh the EFL disapproved of those decisions so much they've appointed a Sheff Utd fan to referee the match tomorrow night.

One game at a time.

With that in mind tomorrow night is a must not lose.
