Re: Patrick Bamford
Class act is Paddy. No matter how you rate him as a forward, he's a top guy and epitomises what Marcel Bielsa has done to Leeds United as a whole.

Re: Leeds U18's & U23's Match Thread
Llorente was excellent in that game and just too good for the U23s. The shot from 35yards that skimmed the crossbar was some effort. Very excited to see him play in the first team, am expecting he'll play in our next PL match

Re: MB Pre Brighton Press Conference
To be honest, I'm sick of people asking questions about Kiko, whether he is poor between the sticks or his racism charge. It stinks of the press wanting to unsettle MB and the team.
And for fairness, I do think we should replace him, but to keep pressing MB on it is just getting old.

Re: Leeds Utd v Brighton Match Thread
Definite reasons to be optimistic for this game, with Brighton missing several key players (including Lamptey who is just the kind of player to get behind our defence), spending a lot of time on the road recently, and our players surely wanting to make up for the shambles in the FA cup. But, caution...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 13th January) Does Rodrigo offer enough to justify his place and his price tag
I'm a fan of Rodrigo. Think he offers a lot and is yet to show his true worth. Always feel that when he is on his game we're due a goal.
As far as the youngster goes, not sure we need yet another when they're doing so well in PL2 already? We need some first teamers so save the money for them.

Re: Leeds U18's & U23's Match Thread
I'm really happy to see Summerville back (where did he go all that time?), and back with a bang. Just one game sure, but if he keeps that kind of game up through the remaining U23 season he looks a good shout for first team place in the next pre-season. Also baffled why Cresswell didn't play in the ...

I have a facebook New Yorker female friend and a redneck male facebook friend and it is very interesting to see their completely different views. The New Yorker is anti Trump and the redneck is pro Trump. The New Yorker floods my facebook constantly and the redneck just post occasionally with his t...

Re: My refelction on todays loss...
Great post Smudge and can't disagree. Phillips (as a potential future captain and Leeds born lad himself) in particular should have been up everyone's ar$e (and his own) to show what it means to play with pride and passion in the white shirt. Ultimately the buck stops with MB and he got it really wr...

Re: Players Ratings v Crawley
Casilla - 1 - Very poor. Should be putting his hand up to start each week. Took a bad bobble for the second goal. Davis - 2 - Looked shaky at LCB and misplaced a fair amount of passes. Cooper - 5 - League 1 Liam looked at least a league above League 2 Crawley. Little to do, clearly taken off at half...

Positive: Might see some attempt at bringing in a bit of quality this window.

You’ll be pleased to know The Black Horse Is still pretty much as it looks in the picture. Doesn't look too old a picture that. Especially as you can see the buildings to it's left which are recent. Used to be in the "puke" zone by the time I would get to the Black Horse during the Westgate Runs I ...

Re: Did Marcelo Bielsa disrespect the FA Cup?
The 3 half time substitutions totally unbalanced the team. I could understand taking Cooper off but should have dropped Strujik back and brought Rodrigo into a central midfield and subbed Costa or Poveda for Greenwood. Playing Harrison has central attacker huge mistake. Clearly Bielsa didn’t care a...

Re: The "January" Transfer Window 20/21 season
After today's shambles we really do need to dip into the market this window. Apparently the finances are there if the right player comes along. Ideally this window: GK: Romero from Scum would be my choice with Kiko moved on. LB: Somebody? Who? Davis is a long way from ready. CM #8/10: Klich and Hern...

Re: United States of Ameristan
Without disagreeing with any of the above sentiments about Trump, the question is what is so wrong with society that he can gain widespread support. The answer, for me, lies in the systemic inequality which sees the wealth of billionaires continuing to grow, whilst the majority suffer. The left lon...

Re: Crawley Town v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Cooper returns as Bielsa makes seven changes
First, I should acknowledge well done to Crawley. But so glad I made the sub-conscious decision to stay in bed when my alarm went off at 5:15am this morning (5:30am KO). Just watched the game recorded from ESPN and I just don't know where to start. Many before me in this thread have commented and fo...

RE: Bamford. I just (finally) watched the WBA game as I was in Honduras and unable to see it. Although it was against WBA, Paddy's movement was outstanding in that game and very much Kane-like. He definitely seems more suited to the PL than Championship and I think deserves a new contract, which lik...
