Re: Leeds United v Wolves - MATCH THREAD - Cooper pulls up during warm up!

Think Raphinha is an interesting one. According to Phil Orta and Bielsa were tracking him independently of eachother but it was thought he wasnt attainable so he wasnt on our winger list as an option for MB. The fact MB rates him enough to track him off his own back with his own contacts suggests h...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 14th October) - Bielsa has clear out at Thorp Arch

Benrahma has the potential to thrive in the Prem with his tricks and flicks and eye for a goal. But id rather Raphinha at £17mil over Benrahma for £30mil. Raph is younger, has played at a higher level whereas Benrahma's best form has come in a 2nd division. Personally think they are similar players...

Re: Cream of the Championship

Why so upset?... no one ever disagreed with you before?... So how come the Oakland A's have never won a series, based on how the GM does business?... You do all sports you said . Lol why would you assume I’m upset? I’m just stating my opinion based on statistical evidence and actually having seen a...

Re: Cream of the Championship

Guess what... I dont agree with you ...simple as  ... I don't mind whether you do or not. If you hadn't posted some big graphic of rankings with no basis behind it I wouldn't have responded at all, but I thought because you did post it that you actually had some clue what it actually represent...

Re: Cream of the Championship

 ...really started something here 'aint I... are you related to Benrahma mate?... ... I am sure all those statistics were taken into account... Sarr has already won a major trophy, played in superior leagues, at the moment he is playing with a lesser team than Brentford, he is also 3 yea...

Re: Cream of the Championship

Benrahma age 25... ...B2.jpg Sarr age 22.. ...S2.jpg I don't really know what that is. How can he be the number 1 player in the Championship when he's played 2 games in it? And he's not been very good in either of them as Watford fans will tell you. I feel like there's no way this is based on anyth...

Re: Cream of the Championship

You said he was raw also, they all are until Bielsa gets his hands on them, this was a hypothetical question as I said and I do think that Bielsa can make something of him, IMO he has the talent... Benrahma again, IMO (the same as Cantwell) I do not think he would be a good fit for us...at the end ...

Re: Cream of the Championship

mmmm interesting, I guess this will not come into play then...But I cannot imagine Victor would ignore it ... and the question posed was what if you had 25mill etc ... Hypothetical anyway...I cannot imagine Watford sticking to that evaluation now , clubs are losing money hand over fist MV.jpg Doubt...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 6th October) Is Raphinha the last piece of the jigsaw?

You always pay more in January... True, but the effects of COVID financially will probably hit teams even more over the next 12 months especially for teams in leagues where the money isn’t close to what teams get in the EPL. Wouldn’t be surprised if transfer fees start to come down a bit until fans...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 6th October) Is Raphinha the last piece of the jigsaw?

Lets not forget that Pablo is technically a wide player made AMF. My guess is Raphinha is here to play the 10 as I don't think he pushes Jack or Helder out anytime soon. He probably has to get past Moreno too, unless Moreno pushes Paddy out All the new guys are going to have to wait their turn thou...

Re: Raphinha - DEAL DONE

Do they? What European clubs would want Maguire, Rice, Dier, Pickford etc? All overpriced and crap. Defo some overpriced ones, but also some playing in teams with no good manager and no tactical clue (everyone looks crap for Man United, but a player like Pogba still looks world class for France). P...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season

Even if Raph is a 10 option though the club had clearly changed tactic regarding the cm position. Cuisance was more of an 8, more like Klich than Pablo. So its entirely possible another cm may come in and probably should imo. Something happens to Klich and Shacks is our only option, like Shacks but...

Re: Raphinha - DEAL DONE

Thanks for the welcome! he is going to be a serious contender for us and become after hernandez our best player, i can see him scoring and assisting plenty, very excited to have a brazilian at Elland Road Speaking of Brazilians, I remember when Leeds almost signed Ronaldinho from Gremio.... if only.

Re: Raphinha - DEAL DONE

Totally agree, would prefer to see him in his favoured position. I can't imagine Bielsa no longer rates Costa (particularly after his excellent display against Fulham), nor Harrison either, so it's very intriguing how Bielsa will keep all his wingers happy. Think he has to go with the best players....

Re: Raphinha - DEAL DONE

Reading the thread in that LUFCData tweet and someone mentioned something that I hadn't given much thought to, mainly in reference to playing Rapha in front of Jack Harrison. Seems an outrageous idea, but Harrison was played as a leftback in the U23s the other day, and we also know it's a position ...

Re: If there is one complaint I have about Marcelo Bielsa...

Great piece again YS. As the saying goes it is the hope that kills you. I remember well how brilliant that Simon Grayson side were int he first half of our promotion season. Ultra solid at the back and with Beckford and Becchio always capable of scoring. Add the trickery of Snodgrass and we had a g...
