But as a pair they still imo look a bit easy to get behind
First game really mate - as a pair they did ok and will get better ………. Hopefully.

Re: Sunderland v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Exactly. He has one responsibility. He failed. That moment caps his career at Leeds for me. We’ve been saying he’s a weak link for a long time. Needs to be binned off in January. How can DF and the rest of the team trust him after this? Rather harsh. It was a howler, it is whether he allows it defi...

Re: Sunderland v Leeds Utd Match Thread

He was following the natural course of the ball took his eye off the ball and it skidded off the turf. Psst him. Awful mistake but s**t happens. Completlely she’ll shocked by that - typical Leeds snatching a draw from the grip of victory. Ironically until the calamity he had a good game. Firpo was s...

Re: Sunderland v Leeds Utd Match Thread

It is Amps reading of the game we miss and his ability to organise. He is captain for a reason.

It should get sorted at halftime hopefully. Someone has got to pick up Bellingham on the edge of the box, it is criminal how he has such space and time on the ball to get a shot away on the D.

Surprised he dropped Joseph but Rothwell starting has nothing to do with Joseph getting dropped.

Come on Rothwell slam one in to 🤫 the bias.

Re: Ilia Gruev- Out for the foreseeable

I think Rothwell will be better than you think. He hasn't been as good as I hoped he would be. But I thought he improved 2nd half against Norwich. I'm optimistic that we'll see some decent stuff from him now he's guaranteed a run of games. He's certainly a more attacking alternative to our other ce...

Re: Norwich City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

I think if Rodon was a kid you'd say he was unlucky, bit inexperienced, but he doesn't have that excuse he should know better. That being said I thought penalty aside he did well, just a shame he had that mistake. Gnonto best player on the pitch. I just dont think running a lot is enough in the rol...

Re: Mateo Joseph - Ruthless Striker or Team Player?

This team isn't as good as last seasons anyway so have to factor that in. And 1 goal 3 assists in 662 minutes is basically a goal or assist every other game, it's pretty decent. We'd certainly have appreciated that sort of return had he been given more of a chance last season. The team is better as...

Re: Sunderland pre match chat.

They got at our defence, but how many shots ? Other than the penalty. We were very good defensively last night away from home. Worry !!!!! Based on what ? Sunderland will be a different proposition but this is a winnable game. I would stick with Joseph, his first poor game last night, every player h...

Re: Norwich City v Leeds United - Player Ratings

I think I will post my scores for once. Mes 6 Bogle 7 Rodon 7.5 Striujk 7.5 Firpo 5 ( his passing was pretty solid, but he was easily dispossessed and he had a great chance to get a shot away but did a bizarre unnecessary flick - rather than take it at a nice height on the volley, underlines his oth...

Re: Norwich City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Judging by the motm thread I must be wrong But I thought he had a largely ineffective game that compromised of running a lot and achieving not much. The one time I remember him getting at the defence and having a simple through ball to play he gave it away. Don't think he had a single shot on targe...

Rothwell was decent. Unlucky not to score the defender just took the pace off the shot when it clipped his heel.

Good experienced head - you need that on the bench rather than untested under 21’s.

Re: Norwich City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Pretty much second best all over the pitch for me. Norwich defending with ease and breaking dangerously. Too many sloppy passes from us and Joseph being given zero ball to work with. Injuries hurting us I think. I think Joseph has been poor tonight, too many touches in possession and his lay offs h...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 1st October) - Ampadu out of action until New Year with LCL injury

Morning. Amps might be a loss might not. Gnonto will contribute as mich as Hamer methinks. He is a loss mate. Losing the captain is a blow. He is integral to our style of play as he has the pace and engine to cover a lot of ground. Aaronson is going to be a significant player for us in his absence....
