Re: Cjay

I have no idea who cjay is, I have no idea who smudge is. In fact I have no idea who anyone is because it’s an anonymous online forum and I haven’t been a member (?) long enough to bond. I have however formed opinions on those posters I can tentatively jest with, and those I won’t. But what I do kno...

Re: Living in the Colonies...

Interesting comparisons...In Canada you can drive for 4 hours and still be in the same part of the country... In UK you drive for 2 hours and the accents have changed twice and they have different names for bread rolls... :) You’ve been away too long Smudge. You only have to drive 2 miles for that ...

That’ll be the fabulously named Holme Pierrepont Centre near Trentbridge then, thanks for the clues.
Never been to this course but the one at Stockton is brilliant for kayaking. I regularly sea kayak but the white water experience is on another level

Re: Don Revie's Heaven XI

I’ll be the first to be a complete d:ck and make a tweak to the line up. Swap Madeley and Lorimer around. Pete goes back to his normal position and Paul could play CF easily.
Mind you, in heaven I guess everyone can play every where.
Great post YS.

Thankfully I retired just before the ten yard rule came in!
Good standard Priz and a famous club. I played Union until I was too slow then turned to Sunday morning league at prop. Loved it.

Re: Terry Cooper

Loved the way he got his head down and stormed down that left side, I know memory is selective and rose tinted but I honestly believe every cross he put in was on the money. Loved watching him play. RIP TC.

Sports do rise and fall over time. It seems swimming and boxing are on the up. Our overall number of medals is well on track but we are just not converting enough into gold so far. The Aussies seem to be pulling our pants down at the moment. With Stokes pulling out, the upcoming Ashes could be diff...
