100% agree!Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 11:56 am I’m not sure we are in disaster territory just yet, putting the injuries to one side I think we are doing quite well to be honest.
Tonight is going to be tough, no doubt about that, and in truth I’m expecting a loss but even if we do lose, all is not lost still a long way to go.

I dearly hope that the kids do get their chance, and then take it. Sliding Doors moments coming up!
Tonight - 3 points for me...we can win this match and should go all out to do so (esp with an international break looming).

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 4th October) Gruev out for six months
I'd not personally be happy with a point, I want the win, not least to prove a point we can get results against top teams this season and not just the teams that offer nothing. I'd guess most will be happy with the point though and they'd not be wrong. Gruev is a major loss, and on top of the long ...

On the subject of yellow cards I’m sure some of or indeed most of Rodon’s are “for the team” whereas Willy’s are often fairly pointless and for arguing with the ref. As per Gelhardt coming on and ending up in a stupid playground barging match. It seems Willy needs to cut out the daft ones because l...

Maybe, but I don't think it affects his desire to win based on how we did against them last season.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 2nd October) Well earned draw or two points dropped?
I think we need to look at last nights result in the context of the 5 games between the international breaks. During the last break EB asked how many points we thought we would / should get from the 5 matches. Positive consensus was around 10-12 points...pragmatic view around 8. We played strongly a...

I think Bamford has a place to play this season...he should not leave in Jan.
Great to see the team coming together...This week is a going to be a big test of where we are!

I can see the title changed from Gnonto to Firpo...I much prefer the positive inference. More positivity please. We're heading in the right direction so lets keep that positivity going. Gnonto - love him! this will be his absolute breakthrough season (which means he's gone if we don't make promotion...

How to turn the positive news that we are going to get an updated stadium into a negative story. Unless they build a new stadium in a greenfield site then there will always be disruption. The end result will be worth the wait! I'm glad we're not moving. Elland can be our fortress and we should make ...

Very true!WhiteRose wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 9:36 am It will be very disappointing if we don’t win vs Coventry but it’s not must win, we were miles behind Leicester and Ipswich at times last season and managed to bridge the gap and should of gone up but for an end of season melt down. Lots of twists and turns yet to happen.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 23rd September)
Next 5 games...we should be getting 12-13 points to aim for the top 2. Realistically I think we only get 8 points (2 wins, 2 drawers, 1 loss). If we do what I think and fear then the pressure will be well and truly on to review the managerial position. Corboran - not exactly exciting football either...

After 2 games we are a disaster and everyone should be sacked . After 4 games things are fine and what was all the fuss. After 5 games we are a disaster and everyone should be sacked . After 8 games ? After 10 games ? and so on these tidal waves of optimism v pessimism and yet we all know that the ...

2 goal chances is just not enough, we just weren't progressive, imaginative or creative enough. I really do think that Farke needs a change of ideas... we're too negative. I didn't see the match...but have read and listened to various post match comments and there seems to be a growing body of peop...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 13th September) Kinnear lifts lid on another difficult Summer
I admit to being a tad worried. Georgi on top of Archie were real blows. To that point, we'd only signed Rothwell (for Kamara), Bogle (for Roberts) and Cairns. Rodon was a like for like. I've always been overly positive. But the week following the Georgi sale was a real downer. The reality of being...

Didn’t realise Nancy from the athletic has had to turn replies off on twitter - I find this really depressing and a massive shame. Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 2nd September) - Comfortable win as Whites see off Tigers
Strength in depth over proven goal scorer? Yes, I think the depth will prevail as long as Farke decides to utilise it. It's also hard to say who will be our proven goal scorers until they have proven themselves...we may well have one or two (or even three) in the team already about to prove themselv...
