Re: NAP of the Day

I think the young man has miscounted. How must he feel tonight? He did. The last one is very half hearted. The JC haven’t got a clue. Have they even consulted the jockeys. So basically you could batter a horse 6 times in the last furlong and thats ok. No logic. I think the arm can only be raised a c ...

Re: NAP of the Day

I don't think he used the whip aggressively. I'll feel sad for the connections if they lose the race. I remember how disappointed I was, when having a £1 ew stake on Esha Ness @ 33/1, who subsequently lost the voided race. Not at all. Rode a perfectly timed race. Gave the horse time in between to ...

Re: NAP of the Day

Doesn’t touch him with the last one. Or barely anyway.
Dont forget they effectively have 9 as its 4 over the allowable (6). So 9 would get him a ban but not the horse.
He’s miscounted. Simple as that. But the last one barely connects. Extremely harsh imo.

Re: Saturday Racing, 12th October: Newmarket (1st race at 1.15pm)

It wasn't that bad, Cat. VAR invading the sport of kings, now. It cracks me up. I’ve had people tell me racing is cruel and the very same people eat cheap meat & chicken from Aldi, Tesco & Asda. Of course those animals are treated well aren’t they. I actually had a conversation with a jockey who rod ...

Re: NAP of the Day

No I cant agree with that Cat. Total nonsense tbh. The modern whip is almost completely unable to “hurt” a horse. The Jockey Club believe that with this rule they are not only protecting the horse but also the image of racing. But look at the ban handed out to Gordon Elliot for laughing whilst sit ...

Re: Saturday Racing, 12th October: Newmarket (1st race at 1.15pm)

Of course, it was a nose. I thought Manxman had got it on first viewing. Hopefully she doesn't read anything about it, the less she knows keeps her calm. So did I. I watched it back and it didn't look excessive at all. How many of the stewards have ridden professionally? For me its a terrible rule ...

Not had a printer for several years, but trying to deal with my dad’s estate without one has proved impossible. Only a cheapo from Argos, my Mrs is up and running with it, me less so 🙄🙄🙄 Oh I remember it’s a hell of a lot to wade through. I remember back in the day “dad the printer ink has run out a ...

Re: Saturday Racing, 12th October: Newmarket (1st race at 1.15pm)

Jill will also be on the attack too, especially as her horse was beaten by a neck in the photo finish. She hates it when a jockey uses the whip at all. I'm saying nothing, hopefully she doesn't read these posts. A nose 👃 Ah so Jill was on Manxman. I look forward to attacks from all sides. Man the ba ...

You reckon :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: Still game on next week then  I feel sorry for connections who pump the money in. One flick of the whip has cost them 100k plus. Racing has got it wrong again for me. Of course they are protecting the horse but still.. I shall expect all out attack next ...

Re: Saturday Racing, 12th October: Newmarket (1st race at 1.15pm)

Yes, Hyperchromatic ran really well in an all-weather affair, his trainer was bigging that run up after his race. I like the Bolti/Ghiani combination. Nightmare for jockey & connections of Alphonse Le Grande. Probably both will be dsq for breaking the whip rules. Essentially 1 time too many ...
