Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 15th March) Leeds could be bottom of the pile by tonight

Was thinking the same. 8 teams average less than a point a game. That's 8 teams mathematically getting relegated. Even bottom placed Southampton are only 4 points off 12th place. This is so important to understand. The math is simple. Average a point per game over a 38 game season and you will stay...

Re: Player Profile : Mateusz Klich

He was playing for DC here in Coachella the same day Marsch got fired. I wanted to go and get a photo. I was going to yell " You can come back to Leeds now. " But my boss had other ideas and called me into work. Hopefully he comes and plays in LA at some point.   I recall ...

Re: Player Profile : Mateusz Klich

He's not what he was during promotion and during PL season #1. But I'd still see him as a starter in different set ups. If we play 4-4-2, there's no place for him. In a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, he could still start. Against weaker teams, I'd like to see a more natural team. But for midfield solidity, I'd ...

Re: Player Profile : Mateusz Klich

Kind of wishing we still had Klich until the end of the season. I admit that he was past his best and that it was about time for him to move on. But looking at the Wolves game today he could have really offered something extra. For much of the game, we were crying out for a 3rd midfielder. McKennie...

Re: Rasmus Kristensen

I was expecting him doing an Aaronson  See now that's just cruel to Rasmus..... But damn! Aaronson has been awful around goal. Having watched so much of his career at Philly, Salzburg, and with USA I expected much more composure. Honestly, he looks like a shell of the player he was just ...

Nice finish!
He had a lot to do on that one. It was no fluke.

Re: Rasmus Kristensen

Rasmus had a nice performance off the bench. It's AWAYS a good performance off the bench when you score a goal. :roflmao: But seriously, in his 29 minutes he scored the goal, had 15 touches, won all of his ground duels, and had one successful dribble. The downside is he was only 4-7 passing for 57%.

Re: Javi Gracia post Wolves

The difference is that Gnonto carries threat, yes it doesn't always come off but the threat is there. Aaronsen seems to take an age working out what he wants to do. Or simply put Gnonto has a football brain and Aaronsen doesn't. I hope with decent coaching Aaronsen can fulfil his potential. Not arg...

At least with Aaronson, he does hustle in the press and can drop back to help the midfield a little more.
Good point!

Re: Javi Gracia post Wolves

Was a strange performance. In the first half we were shocking in possesion and rode our luck but did get ourselves back into the game, performance wise rather than result wise with us being in front. Second half and felt it was the wrong decision to take Gnonto off, he was our real spark and the on...

On that last sequence Aaronson should have split the defenders and dribbled into the box. He probably would have drawn a penalty. Instead he tried to pass it to Rodrigo. Poor decision making.

Meslier didn't need to come out the way he did. But Roca made a poor clearance . We Americans call this a CLUSTERFUCK!

Kristensen for Gnonto. This suggests a significant tactical switch.

I think that's right. It became a defacto 4-3-3. But our wingers Gnonto and Harrison spent most of the half covering for Firpo and Ayling.

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v Leeds Utd Match Thread - McKennie & Gnonto in for Adams & Summerville

Stats sound good. But on watching, our midfield was non-existant for most of the 1st half. I'm just posting the numbers. Not making a judgement about bad or good. I think our loss of he midfield was tactical. We got the goal and then the instructions were to sit back. Toward the end of the first ha...

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v Leeds Utd Match Thread - McKennie & Gnonto in for Adams & Summerville

Fewest touches by any Leeds player in the first half Jack Harrison with 15. He scored the goal. But spent most of the time covering for Luke Ayling. His heat map confirms this.

Marc Roca 27 touches and 89% passing.

Weston McKennie 21 touches and 83% passing.
