Re: Heidi's Blog - Tribute to Stuart Dallas Overshadowed by Defeat

It was a lovely tribute for Dallas, loads of fans stayed in their seats at half time to applaud him. I found it quite emotional to be honest. Yes it was. We stayed upstairs because if it but he couldn’t have asked for a better send off. Just need Dallas, Klich and Berardi to join us in the away end...

Cliff did a German version too...

Can’t say I ever heard the other versions back in the day before the Leeds one.

Re: General Chat

Not been on the forum for a few days, had to say goodbye to my best mate on Tuesday (see avatar picture). He would have been 15 in September, he joined us at 2 years old, and he has been at our side every single day ever since, literally every day, some 4,500 days in total. Absolutely devastated, b...

Sod the street cred mate, come & have a chat with Kev & I. :-D I promise I'll keep my phone in my pocket, can't say the same for Heidi though. I've already said to Andy B that I wouldn't take any photos of him. Not sure whether he passed that on or didn't believe me. Seriously though ...

Re: Luke Ayling- Farewell Bill

Really great of him to come out and do this when he had to know the fans would go nuts and probably mob him :) He's so polite and friendly with everyone. Class act - although, from everyone's reactions, I'm surprised he was able to actually get away and find time to watch the match. I caught him as...

Great response from everyone to this thread. I’ve learned more about the posters on here in a week than I have since I joined. Lots of good advice on how to manage the transition from working to retiring and staying sane and healthy so time to take the plunge. Also good to see people connecting ove...

Thanks. I nearly met mentalcase again but he did a runner at the Peacock once he saw me head towards the Halifax lads! Well he was hiding nearby.

Re: Heidi's Blog - Gnonto's Brilliance Secures Leeds Top Spot

Nice class way for Luke to say goodbye. If he hadn't already cemented his place in the Yorkshire heart.... putting between £2-5k behind the bar should get him his own statue. Loving that geezers old scarf. I am presuming the guy dressed as a cow promoting Irish beef must be a farmer. And great to s...

Re: Heidi's blog Leeds United v Millwall 17/3/24

Nice photos as ever, Heidi. Luke epitomises everything what it means to be Leeds. What a bloke! That scarf on the fella with long grey hair, who was on the concourse with us has been through the wringer, one of the originals from the 60s/70s, I guess. Good to see you again. Sorry our conversation w...

Re: Retirement

I’ve mentioned before elsewhere, my wife got very poorly in 2009, was in hospital for one and a half years, on a life support machine for weeks on end, in a coma for several weeks more. The illness was caused through problems with pregnancy and we lost our baby daughter, it completely changed my ou...

I added a comment to a thread yesterday asking if people on here were retired and living the high life alluding to the amount of time and commitment some people put in to the site.
