Re: An absolute mess
There was more than enough quality on the team. Leeds fired their best in a generation coach Bielsa, then fired the guy who was able to motivate players and keep them up last season. The players they brought in were sold on and suited to high speed pressing football, and they were given a changing q...

Re: Jesse Marsch- Next USA coach?
Jesse Marsch has been good at ginning up players and choosing the starting lineup. His favs were Rodrigo and Gnonto and he got them to play for him. That’s great for international football. On the down side, system managers are bad for it. There is no time to install a specialized system and you can...

Re: Next Manager
I can't imagine a team roster least suited to Sam Allardyce. Leeds management proving everyday that there is an extra level to stupid. Time to sell Radz.

Re: Next Manager
I sound like a broken record at this point, but every single mid-season managerial firing has been the wrong move for Leeds. Firing Bielsa mis-season was a mistake. Firing Marsch mid-season was a mistake. Was replacing Scoobs with Gracia a good move? Evidentially not since it seems we are going back...

Re: Where it all went wrong
Entirely wrong. Where it all went bad is actually being too reactive and relying on mid season switches of management. New manager bounce is pretty much BS. There was very little evidence that Marsch could manage Bielsas trained players better than Bielsa last Spring or that Garcia can handle Marsch...

Re: Jesse Marsch
Let me take Jesse's side for a moment here: Coaching Experience: The dude has won 9 trophies as a player, and 6 trophies as manager: - NY Red Bull had the best record in MLS for his first and last year. MLS is a hyper balanced league. - Won both the title and the cup for Salzburg in the two years he...

Re: Jesse Marsch- Rejects Leicester job
It’s simple. Marsch is interested only in clubs interested in a project, not 3 months and a paycheck. Good on him

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 7th March) Why aren't the players fighting for their lives
When we were a high press team, if you didn’t give 100% it was dead obvious. Now that we are doing the regimented low block 1-0 “real football”, a player can’t show commitment via energy.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 6th March) Leeds feeling the Blues after latest defeat
Were we right to get rid of Marsch. Absolutely. If anyone could explain any progression we made under Marsch in 18 months or whatever it was, i'm all ears. What's Gracia had... 3 games and i can already see more structure, altho he does seem to be more George Graham than O'Leary so whether he will ...

Re: Javi Gracia post Chelsea
We are team built for high tempo / high press, but we sat back for 70 minutes providing no threat and let Chelsea reset and build up as much as they wanted. Leeds were worse than bad, they were boring. Not a shot on target. Finally @70 Javi woke up, substituted some fresh legs up front, and we looke...

Re: Chelsea v Leeds Match Thread - Three changes as Wober, Harrison and Aaronson start
Leeds have finally pulled out the high press after sitting back for 70 minutes and look a bit dangerous.

Leeds have lost all ability to press, no energy. We look like a team happy to have a 1-0 loss.

Re: Chelsea v Leeds Match Thread - Three changes as Wober, Harrison and Aaronson start
NBC moves the most popular PL game of the day from Peacock to the USA network. And that's always been the Leeds games, because of the US players.

Positives: We had the better chances, again.
Negative: Nearly fell asleep in slow first half as Leeds sat back deep.

Re: Javi Gracia- Incoming?
Sadly those protesting, even when in the wrong, tend to be the noisiest. Your noisy person tends to be the one who reacts without thinking. Your deep thinkers make little noise. I hope the fans get behind this guy, and Ride or Die until the end of the season. He's an experienced manager and will be...

Re: Joe Gelhardt- Joins Sunderland on loan
Seems nonsense now to have sent him on loan - to be replaced by someone who's not a goalscorer and not 1st team ready. Could have gone down last season without Joffys contributions. If you are neither superfast, quick, or tall, you need to be extra special elsewhere to make it in the PL.. Gelhardt ...

Re: Michael Skubala- Not his fault but . . . . .
Leeds has been training on nearly a year on a very specific style: an aggressive high press which generates transition goals. It's goof balls to try to turn Leeds into some sort of midblock team that unlocks defense through build up play mid season. Scooby should of taken the label off of Marsch-bal...

Re: Woeful
Going by MOTD highlights the forwards looked clueless. Don't blame Bamford because without quality service he can do precious little other than his air shot! The problem is Bamford's right foot is totally ornamental. Unless he is provided service for a left footed shot, he'll botch it. He is pretty...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Everton
Positives: - We gained consistency, and stopped the string of bad result despite good performances. Negatives: - We are now consistently bad, and losing because we deserve it. - Totally toothless and supine. We used to at least press dangerously, and break hard on counters. It used to at least be ex...
