Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 12th December) Pope hints at January exit for Bamford
Why would Bamford be the only who didn't have a 'relegation reduction ' in his contract and if so is the figure of £70k per week actually his Premiership wage ? I have seen the figure of £30k mentioned in other reports and therefore I wonder if all of the reporting is accurate and based on current f ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 9th December) Whites go second after comfortable win
I make it 3 from corners as Piroes goal against Luton came when their keeper parried Struijk's header . The delivery seems to have improved markedly and somebody seems to have finally started coaching Rodon about his movement or else because there are other threats he is getting more room ? Aaronson ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 6th December) Wober swap deal mooted
I agree that Warne is correct and the likelihood is that any replacement would be worse if anything. With regard to Wober I believe that unless you are guaranteed that you can improve on an established international with substantial experience as a squad member that assuaging the hurt feelings of ...

What a great life being able to wake up every morning to find out what I can complain about at Leeds today. Two wins 7 goals ,top of the league and your current player punchbags playing very well but will that hold you back . No you can mooch out a few moans even in a well nigh perfect week .

Re: Leeds Utd v Luton Town Match Thread
Neither Piroe or Joseph did enough on Sunday to justify being picked tonight so the time is right to bring Bamford back in and I would play the 3 of Solomon , Gnonto and James behind him and let them rotate their positions . From what I have seen of Luton they seem quite open so I would start Byram ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 21st November) - Where do Leeds need to strengthen in January?
The reality remains that when Bamford got a run of starts in the team he scored on a regular basis contributing significantly to the winning run which if it had continued would have got promotion . Neither of the other 2 forwards are scoring consistently when starting so why not give Pat a go ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 19th November) Solomon's defensive qualities may give Farke food for thought
Farke's teams in the Championship tend to have slow starts and improve and if that trend continues I would expect that this team should make 90+ points. I would suggest what many will consider an heretical point that there would be a lot of sense in starting Bamford up front fairly soon . His good ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 18th November) - Leeds ready to pounce for Manchester City starlet
Farke made it quite clear last season that he wanted Wober to stay and it was Rangnick who basically scuppered that by telling Wober that he wouldn't bring him to the Euros if he was playing him in the Championship . Wober is at an age where there is a real risk that this might have been his only ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 15th November) Ampadu hits back at 'Boring' performance jibe
As the club has had actual asset strippers in the past you would need to be clear as to what you are alleging. I have no illusions that the 49ers are in this for the love of the game and they clearly have an agenda which relates to maximising the value of their asset but that equally obviously ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 15th November) Ampadu hits back at 'Boring' performance jibe
If following the Watford way is your prescription for success then I suggest you take a look at where they are at present and what they have done for the last couple of seasons . In any event I don't think they are the model for the 49ers who will undoubtedly stick with DF if he achieves promotion ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 15th November) Ampadu hits back at 'Boring' performance jibe
So you lot want to sack Farke after three games because we haven't won or sack him after 13 games because he doesn't provide enough excitement or sack when he gets promotion because he has previously been unsuccessful in the Premiership. Basically it's just find any excuse to play Football Manager ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 12th November) - The jury is still out on Solomon
Harrison had a Loan Clause in his contract triggered by relegation . No scope to negotiate a loan fee . Leicester had been the best part of a decade in the Premiership and had won a couple of trophies and played pretty regularly in Europe which gave them a much more solid base to their squad and to ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 12th November) - The jury is still out on Solomon
I would dispute the glib, facile comment in relation to recruitment . Ampadu, Rodon , Bogle , Gruev , Ramazani, Tanaka, Piroe and Rothwell are all good players for the job in hand and more than half of them are outstanding and probably capable of doing a job in the Premiership . If the criticism is ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 11th November) Unconvincing win keeps Leeds in the hunt
Finally found a clip showing the alleged headbutt and as suspected it was a classic performance from the Millwall Academy of Dramatic Arts . McNamara was probably upset that the ref having bought several outrageous dives failed to see his own spectacular entry for the Oscars which was as good as the ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 6th November) - Farke cautiously optimistic about Ampadu return
Aaronsons game is largely about receiving the ball in tight offensive areas and picking a pass or making a break . This carries with it a high risk of dispossession but along with Rothwell we need him getting the ball in those areas as it's the source of breaking defensive lines. His pass to Gnonto ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 5th November) Dan James back on song
McKenna rubbished the rumour last week and I don't think the red card will change his thinking . Most of the Ipswich ire was directed at the referee as the foul came in a breakaway where Ipswich thought they should have had a penalty . Personally I think Kalvin only went there so he could get Bielsa ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 4th November) - Whites outclass sorry Pilgrims
In fact the much derided loan clauses were one of the main reasons why Leeds were able to avoid significant financial issues because they were able to ship high earners off the wage bill which had been a huge issue at the time of the previous relegation . It can be hard to know which of the buys ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 30th October) Could Jack Harrison Return in January?
So Solomon had a bad injury last year and missed the season and the narrative is that he is a huge injury risk as if no other player has had a similar experience and returned to play for a full career . All the signs in his first couple of games were that he was a different class from the vast ...
