Re: Middlesbrough pre match chat

Bamford is never the answer any more, we have been having this conversation for years now. He is cooked, finished, an ex striker, he has ceased to be. He started vs Boro last time and was comfortably the worst player on the pitch. Probably great in the dressing room, words of support, advice, let ...

Please tell me, what have Piroe & Joseph have done of late to justify starting?

We need to hold the ball up to stop Boro' continually coming at us on their attacks,
OMG is he still with us !!

Re: Leeds United v Derby County Match Thread

It was an issue against Blackburn. We played 3 games that week. Blackburn only played 2, Blackburn were at home. We had to travel. Plus it would make more sense to give the early game to someone who played on Tuesday rather than someone who played on Wednesday. Leeds get the early games because ...

Bamford will be at Leeds in January, sitting on his arse and pocketing a fortune !!

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Leeds Utd Match Thread

I have to say, I'm reluctantly coming round to this way of thinking. He seems to prefer ineffective control to potentially successful chaos. Take no risks, retain possession at all costs and in all situations. In the Luton match we had a free kick in the Luton part of the centre circle. We passed ...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Leeds Utd Match Thread

I agree. His penalty percentage save is not good. Also, stats showed last season that his overall shots saved percentage wasn't good either. I find it hard to criticize him as a whole. I do think he's a good keeper. But I do find it hard to defend his numbers. His shot stopping is OK but he scares ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 2nd December) Whites drop to third after inept display

I'm afraid that teams now have sorted us out. They park the bus from the first whistle knowing we have little chance to break down a packed defence and then hope for a break away goal. Sadly the lads that could make the decisive pass have moved on.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 26th November) Referees appear to have lost focus on simulation

Interesting to read Keith Hackett's comments on Ronald diving and holding his head to win the free kick leading to the first Swansea goal. I thought at the time that it was a dive but the referee on the day was weak and fell for most tricks. It is a shame that there are no Hunter's, Smith's Harris's ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 7th November) Leeds pay price for poor finishing

Lost again to a side we have completely outplayed. Tanaka had 64 competed passes in the first half - the whole of the Millwall team had 70 !! I am sure now that other sides will have worked out what to do when playing us - park the bus from the word in the hope of a breakaway goal knowing that we ...
