Promised Land - New Leeds United Book

Promised Land: The Reinvention of Leeds United By Anthony Clavane There used to be a sign hanging outside Leeds Station which bore the legend: 'Leeds, the Promised Land delivered'. Anthony Clavane explains why that sign was put up - and how it came to be taken down. Leeds United, one of the most fam...

Re: O/T credit where credit is due

Fulham weren't that great first half and scum didnt really take advantage. They were a lot better drilled second half though and worked tirelessly until the very end so give them credit for that.

Re: Sutton on Somma

...but the key difference was the way that Somma controlled the ball instantly where Beckford's first touch was awful and nearly led to the chance going begging. Did extremely well, also whereas Becchio can bring down a ball Somma was able to control it inot his path and keep running with it, somet...

Hmm, notice the use of the words 'direct income', obviously it doesnt count if your money comes through various trusts and off shore accounts, its not direct then so obviously shouldn't be taxable.

Re: Inland Revenue

We came out of admin without a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), hence the 15 point deduction so I don't beleive any such clauses exist.

I beleive we aren't spending because there isn't that much cash to spend.

Hopefully Sam and Gradel can form a similar understanding, they certainly did the job against Wolves.

Premiership - Whats going on?

What the f**k is going on in the Premiership this season? We open with Blackpools surprise four nil victory over Wigan, Chelsea then tonk West Brom, possibly more expected, and then manager less Villa stick three past West Ham. Scum start off by beating newly promoted Newcastle three nil. Chelsea th...

Re: O/T - Boro vs. Sheff Utd

14,633 for a game between two of the divisions supposedly bigger teams is awful, mind you only 14,476 turned up at Wigan yesterday to watch them play the League and Cup holders Chelsea!

Re: It's Not A Strong Division

The gulf in quality between the top and bottom Premiership teams is massive and the Championship is very competative. A team like Wigan could quite easily get relegated and struggle to get back up, the exception was last year with Newcastle and West Brom but Boro struggled. Any player from one of th...

Re: You Watt, you Watt and Sam

Loved Sommas two goals but theses two are looking like our most exciting players for the season. Read a few posts last week saying that Watt wasn't as good as Max and that he couldn't pass. Sometimes we jump the gun and don't let players time to settle. Look at Watt yesterday and you realise why he...
