Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 24th July) - Gibson swap deal, No interest in Sawyers and a good dilemma to ha

Morning MB, who would he replace? I think he'd be fanstic alongside Klich or Pablo at CM, at the expense of Forshaw and letting us rotate without the noticeable break in our freeflowing style that Forshaw often represents. Of course when Ayling/Dallas inevitably get injured he'd slot right in at RB...

Delph for me. Versatile, good vision, excellent on the ball, a natural Bielsaballer who can play full back or mid. Though we'd probably have him CB.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 23rd July) - Jansson not to be replaced, Sawyers bid upped and Leeds lose to Sau

Always the way with Leeds fans. Likely this match was arranged very late and the players had probably already had training sessions all day and were probably knackered. Looking at the highlights, they looked as tired as the lot who faced the Scum. Seemed to be more a beasting than a serious game, W...

Re: MB Is An Idealist

A sensible and reasoned post. You know, much as I like and respect Pep Guardiola, and admire his tactics, I've always said he's like the Championship/Football Manager theory crafter, in that he's found a system of tactics that prove very very successful but in order to carry them out it requires an ...

Re: Current Squad & Transfers Poll

Really? Plenty of folk were saying that one of our failings last season was not strengthening in Jan and missing out on players like Dan James, who 'definitely' would have gotten us promoted.

Not my opinion fyi, but you must remember the furore over it

Re: Current Squad & Transfers Poll

I answered no to need as I think we can challenge very well with the current squad. I'd like a couple of additions but there's a difference between like and need. ..I'd like a 5 bedroom detached home over looking the South Devon Coast with about 3 acres ..I don't need it I reckon we might be saving...

Re: Where will the Mighty Leeds finish the 19/20 season?

Gonna go with 2nd. I feel that we're stronger with the new signings despite losing Jansson, and the only possible way to better last season is autos. Still don't want to be so bold as to say we'll win it (though we have a better chance than most), so I'll go with second. I also can't see any teams g...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 22nd July) - Hernandez Magic and Bamford under attack

It's big step up from U23's to the Championship of course but Edmundson's scoring record right back to his York City days is very good. Other's from the U23's have made the step up almost seamlessly so why shouldn't he? Having seen him at Colchester in March and again against Tadcaster last week, h...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 22nd July) - Hernandez Magic and Bamford under attack

Morning. Bamford I have always thought is not a Leeds Utd. kind of player. Not a bad player just not our type. Roofe blow hot and cold in games, but put in much more energy than Bamford. Edmondson promising, strong and know where the goal is. Reminds me of the one and only Mick Jones. Edmonson will...

Love watching this ten minutes highlights :-D
Thanks for the post. Just watching when Roofe and Bamford swap positions, Harrison improves dramatically. His link up play with Roofe has become very, very sharp, another reason Roofe should start CF.

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

8 - Harrison - Enters box left hand side, tries to curl one in with outside of left foot, just wide would have been a cracker. Good Chance though and maybe a pass the better option Just watched this one on the highlights myself and Bamford is offside by the time he strikes, and covered well by defe...

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

A lot of the time last season we created chances that weren't great chances. The key is to create better chances and then hopefully the goals per chance improves. I think we are already showing that we are looking to improve the quality of chances with Harrison in particular playing the balls into ...

Re: What have we learned from the pre-season games so far?

I've always seen pre season as a barometer not of the team as so little do you see the starting eleven together until the end, but of individual performances so I'll go with a few choice observations: Roofe - scored in the one game he played CF. He needs to start there for me because how many points...

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

At the end of the day, we could have the best CBs in the world but they'd still look vulnerable when both our full backs are at the other end of the pitch, that's the risk part in Bielsaball's high risk/high reward nature. We just need to face that simple fact, attacking football is about scoring mo...

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

2-1. Pablo again the difference, Dallas did well, Bogusz did well. WSW played some nice stuff and had some chances of their own. Old issues continue to haunt us though, not clinical enough, careless on the ball in key areas and very dodgy in defence especially on the break. Half the first team are ...

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

I honestly believe Costa will give Pablo a break in this regard, an individual with just that little spark of magic to turn a game. Pablo won't have to do it all himself this season, mark my words.

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

We're starting to look a bit more perky, some comically bad luck there but it seems they're starting to laugh about it and not take it all too seriously, which is best for pre season.
